9 MPUAT Students Selected for INSPIRE Scholarship

Ministry of Science and Technology (Govt. of India) has selected nine students of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology for the prestigious INSPIRE scholarship. Selected students will get funding for 5 years or till their research works get completed.

The names of students selected for the INSPIRE Scholarship are as follows: Taruna Amrawat, Manish Rana, Suresh Kumar, Pravisha Lahoti, Garvita Joshi, Anamika Nath, Varun Mishra, Praveen Dahifale and Sumit.

Professor O.P Gill, vice chancellor of MPUAT extended his wishes to the selected students and said that, such programs will definitely boost confidence of the students. [Read more...]

Pacific Student Batch Reaches Singapore for pursuing One Semester

A batch of 9 MBA students of Pacific University will be studying in Singapore for next six months. This set of students has been selected under the ‘Semester Abroad Program’. All the students are pursuing Global Centric International MBA.

Scrap Auction Disturbs College exam

college-campusWhile MLSU students were trying to concentrate on their question paper, nearly a dozen contractors gathered outside the examination room to take part in the scrap auction.

Disturbed by the loud voices students started protesting and called other students, including student leaders, to stop the auction.

The incident took place at College of Arts (MLSU) where exam of Second-Year Political Science was going on.

Student leader, Dinesh Bhoi with other students, forcibly stopped the auction. This resulted in a heated argument between contractors and students. MLSU professors intervened and controlled the situation. The auction has been postponed.

Aman Ladia achieves 1st Rank in Asia in Science Olympiad

Aman-ladiaUdaipur’s 11-year-old Aman Ladia has secured 1st Rank in Asia in 12th NCO (National Cyber Olympiad) and 15th NSO (National Science Olympiad) Exam organized by Science Olympiad Foundation.

Aman is the first student in the history of exams conducted by Science Olympiad Foundation to achieve gold medals in two subjects out of three.

Lacs of students of 1000 cities from 14 countries in Asia competed in the examination.

Aman is the grandson of famous businessman V.K.Ladia and is currently studying in Mumbai.

School Waives fee for RTE Student

The Central Academy, Ambamata branch considered the request of the parents, whose child is admitted under RTE and waived the fee for past years. The fee was first demanded by school authority.

Seeing the deprived condition of Tabrez Khan, who is also physically disabled, the school administration finally decided not to take fees from him. Khan’s son studies in junior class of Central Academy, Ambamata.

The family was concerned since the school administration asked them to pay fees for past years, saying that government is not recompensing fees of RTE students for the year 2011-12.

“Entreza 2013″ commences with Face Painting

face-paintingAnnual fest of Sunrise Group of Institutions ‘Entreza 2013’ commenced from today. The three-day event was inaugurated by Group Chairman, Harish Rajani.

On the first day today, Face Painting, Civil Quiz and Just-a-Minute competitions were organized.

For the online gaming competition ‘Counter-Strike’, a large number of entries are being received from several college teams. Tomorrow, Logo Design, Photographics and Bug-Finder events will be organized.
