This time he has won IGNOU-UNESCO Science Olympia. Yash Gupta was among the top forty two winners out of 4000 participants who took the Olympiad on August 21, 2011.

The result of the much famed Science Olympiad was declared on 12 Oct and Yash who is a student of Class XI at MDS Sr. Sec. School, Udaipur has once again proved his ability to beat any challenge.
The Principal of the school Dr. Nidhi Maheshwari informed that Yash Gupta is also among the top 1% of those who took the Tier-I test despite tough competition. On behalf of IGNOU and UNESCO and the Science Olympiad Committee, Professor P. T. Manoharan has congratulated Yash for his superb performance.
“This is incredible achievement by this young lad. He is doing a very sincere justice with his academic abilities so far,” said Dr. Shailendra Somani, the Director of MDS Sr. Sec. School.
Dr. Somani also informed that earlier also Yash Gupta represented India in International Earth Science Olympiad and won Silver Medal in IESO, 2011 in Montana, Italy.
This selection has entitled Yash Gupta to receive a medal, a cash prize and a merit certificate. All these will be given to him at IGNOU, New Delhi. Five toppers of the combined score from the Tier 1 and Tier 2 tests will receive an additional award. IGNOU gives special awards to toppers in the total of four branches.
Yash will be appearing for Tier II test (at IGNOU) on November 13, 2011.
