The All India Sweeping Labour Congress Udaipur branch organized a program at Shukadiya Rangmanch, UMC today, to welcome R.D.Jawa who has recently been appointed as Chairman in the State Sweeper Commission.
R.D. Jawa, who was given a warm welcome during his first visit to Udaipur after taking charge in the state committee, was also welcomed by Valmiki Samaj of Udaipur.
While addressing the community members, Jawa said that the flagship schemes announced by Ashok Gehlot for appointing twenty thousand sweepers across the state has already started, and as per records around Eleven Thousand individuals have been appointed in the respective Municipal Councils in various cities of Rajasthan.
The programme was attended by esteemed guests like Raguveer Meena, MP, Udaipur; Rajni Dangi, Chairperson, UMC; Roop Kumar Khurana, Secretary, UIT and other important people.
Roop Kumar Khurana, while addressing the community members declared that UIT will extend its help in establishing a community centre by providing land to the community.
The event proceedings were carried out by Babu Lal Gawri, General Secretary, Udaipur while the welcome note was given by Prem Kumar Gawri.
