Udaipur Police commemorates Martyr Policemen

Udaipur Police Department observed the Shaheed Diwas (Martyrs Day) today at the police line; the program consisted of parade ceremony and offering of wreath on martyr’s memorial as a tribute to the police jawans who sacrificed their lives while performing their duties.

The program started with a parade ceremony in the presence of Inspector General of Police T.C Damor and other top police officials of Udaipur district.

Later, the names of 574 martyrs were announced and flowers were offered on the memorial. Thereafter, salami (a round of gunfire in the air) was given to all the martyrs.

Including IG, T C Damor and SP, Hariprasad Sharma all additional SPs, Dy SPs and CIs of all police stations were present on the occasion.

As per the information given by Kaluram Rawat, Ad SP (headquarters), the program started at 7 in the morning and concluded at around 8:15 am.
