Tibetan Hold procession for Peace in Tibet

tibetian-protest3More than 100 Tibetans residing in Udaipur held a march for peace in Tibet and freeing it from Chinese occupation. The relay procession ‘Flame of Truth’ was supported by the local Tibetan natives in Udaipur. Candle lit march started from Samor Bagh and concluded at Gulabagh today evening.

The procession was held under a campaign that started 3 month back across India demanding peace in Tibet. Tibetans claim that China is spreading violence by act and acquisition over Tibet.

The campaign scheduled till 10th December will conclude by forwarding ‘Signature- of-Favor’ to UN, Human Rights Commission at Geneva and local Authorities of UN in India.

The motto behind the movement is to present a petition to The United Nations, seeking renewal of discussions on the issue of Tibet, based on the resolutions passed in year 1959, 1961 and 1965 and to continuously make efforts to fulfill the substance of these resolutions.

Also, as per the petition, there should be an independent observing body to look into the present crisis in Tibet. The UN should take the responsibility to ensure that the basic aspirations of Tibetans inside Tibet are fulfilled.
