79 Newlywed Couples Took Oath against Female Feticide

In the mass wedding of Tailki Sahu Samaj and Mochi Samaj, 79 couples got married and then, in a special custom performed in wedding ceremony, all of them took an oath to stop female feticide.

The notable step, of saving girl child, was taken by the communities on the occasion of 23rd Mass Wedding Ceremony of Tailik Sahu and 12th of Mochi Samaj, organized by their respective committees at Townhall and Sub City Centre, Savina.

In Sahu Samaj, among the 48 couples which got married, no money was taken from 6 of the couples as their families are financially not as strong. Not only their wedding was conducted for free, but each couple was also presented with a Fixed Deposit Bond worth Rs. 25000 from community account. [Read more...]

The three-day Cricket Tournament organized by Tailik Sahu Mewar Seva Samiti, concluded today at Field Club Udaipur. Championship was won by Mewar Bethak team, after defeating Bhuwana Bethak in the final played today.

The Tailik Sahu Mewar Cup finals played between Mewar Bethak and Bhuwana Bethak; Mewar batting first gave a huge target of 195 in a twenty-over match. Chasing the mammoth total, Bhuwana team was sent back to pavilion at 124 runs, proving an easy win for the team. [Read more...]

Inauguration of Cricket Championship organized by the Tailik Sahu Seva Samiti, was carried out by Lakshya Raj Singh Mewar today at Field Club; the opening match was played between teams of Mandi Bethak and Mewar Bethak.

Tailik Sahu Community Sports to Start Tomorrow

The Annual Sports meet of Tailik Sahu Community will be organized by Tailik Sahu Mewar Seva Samiti at Field Club from 18th December; ‘Sahu Mewar Cup’ two days cricket tournament will mark the start of the sports week of the community.

The Sahu Mewar Cup will be played between seven teams within community, inauguration of which will be carried out by Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar at 10 am tomorrow; on first day, the championship league matches will be played.

According to Hemant Daya, Spokesperson of committee, all participating teams are provided with exclusive kit worth Rs. 40 Thousand on account of the community, while trophies will be awarded to the Winner, First Runner-up and Second Runner-up teams of the championship. [Read more...]
