Summer Camp by Scout-Guide from 17th May

Rajasthan State India Scout and Guide (RSISG) announced starting a hobby center and vocational training summer camp from 17th May to 20th June at Alok School, Fatehpura.

M.R.Verma, CO Scout Udaipur, informed that well trained and experienced coaches will train the participants in cooking, painting, mehndi, jewelry making, beautification, interior decoration, dance, spoken English, musical instruments and other interesting fields.

Rising temperatures Signal the onset of Summers

sunnyCity’s whether became a bit hotter during the first week of March indicating an early onset of summers. Maximum recorded temperature during the days shot to 34 degrees while minimum temperature remained close to 23 degrees during the past week.

Today, sun rays felt more intense than the other days giving a feel of summers breaking the prolonged winter season that had number of ups and downs in temperature recorded.

According to metrological department, Udaipur, maximum temperature recorded on 4th March was 33 degrees and minimum 21 degrees. They also forecasted increase in the day time mercury levels to 36 degrees in the ongoing week.

MaxPro Concludes Summer Camp

Hiran-Magri -ManasMaxPro summer ‘activity’ camp concluded on June 30, 2012. This camp has been organized at three locations, Hiran Magri, Sector 4 (Opp. Hansa Palace), Surajpole (Opp. JMB) and Sunderwas.

Activities like craft, drawing, story writing / narrating, project work, hand writing, English (grammar, word games etc), clay modeling, puzzles (like maze, crossword, jumbled letters) etc were organized for children in the age group of 4-12 years. [Read more...]

School Administrators Meet Collector, appeal for Better coordination

A meeting of school administrators from 10 major schools of the city was held today with Hemant Gera, District Collector of Udaipur, at collector’s office.

The agenda included placing a system in place whereby the schools in the city could be informed of any declarations of holidays for which it was assured that any such circulars in future will be emailed to them.

“The way it is now, even us [schools] come to know of holidays through the media sources which often creates an embarrassing situation from our side”, said Deepak Sharma, Director, CPS. “Parents as well having no knowledge of such declaration in most cases suffer a miscommunication”, he added. Collector Extends Summer Vacations till 8th July due to Heat Waves

The Collector has declared an extension to the summer vacations and Schools will be closed till 8th July, 2012. This is applicable to all the students till class 8th.

However, students of class 9th – 12th and teaching staff as well as administration staff will be attending schools as usual. This decision was made in the light of ongoing heat wave.

In conversation with UT, Hemant Ghera, Collector (District) said ”This decision of extending the vacations till 8th is taken in favor of school going kids. Summer is on its peak and so is the heat waves. The extension would be applicable in all the schools of the district”.

Kidzee-Ambamata successfully concludes first summer camp

Kidzee, Ambamata successfully concluded its first summer camp-2012 today. Director, Kidzee -Ambamata, Dr Atul Sharma informed that approximately 60 children of age group between 3 to 15 participated in the summer camp. Different activities like Dance, Art & Craft, Abacus, Calligraphy, Origami, Indoor and Outdoor games, Drawing  Painting, Singing etc. were conducted during the camp.
