Residents of Sikh Colony rejoice over receiving pattas

Under ‘Prashasan Shehron Ke Sang’ scheme run by State Government, the Udaipur Municipal Corporation distributed around 38 pattas, including 18 pattas to residents of Sikh Colony. The program was organized in UMC campus earlier today evening; delighted masses thanked administration for considering their applications.

In the program today, the dwellers of Sikh Colony earned immense satisfaction when they were handed over the pattas of their land, for which they waited since past 50 years. [Read more...]

Residents of Sikh Colony to receive Pattas after 51 Years

In the ‘Prashasan Shehron Ke Sang’ scheme started by State Government to give away legal documents of pre-owned lands, around 18 residents of Sikh Colony will receive patta of their land after nearly five decades.

According to Tejender Singh Robin, President of Gurudwara Sach Khand Darbar, there are nearly 60 houses in colony that were build after the independence which was approved by the then local authority whereby some of the residents were given the patta or equivalent legal document against their respective land, but a small number of houses remained deprived with the allotment. Baba Hardevsingh Maharaj to visit Udaipur

Renowned saint Baba Hardevsingh Maharaj of Sant Nirankari Mission, also known as Universal Brotherhood Mission, will be visiting Udaipur on 6th February to bless his followers who are organizing this event as ‘Ekatva Ka Parva’ (festival of Unity).

Udaipur Branch Coordinator, Jeetsingh Nirankari, informed that on Baba’s visit, a huge Nirankari Saint Assembly will be organized at Bhopalpura Ground in the evening from 6 PM to 9 PM where he will address the nirankari saint community.

On his visit, Baba will inaugurate ‘Nirankari Satsang Bhawan’ at Chitrakoot Nagar, Bhuwana. Thereafter, he will leave for Ajmer where he will attend ‘Saint Samagam’.

These lines of Mushtaq Chanchal described that, what is the motive behind the Peace March or the “Shanti Rally”

The rally showcased the colours of Unity as well as depicted the peaceful co-existence of different castes creeds, religions and sex. Maitri Sangh is known for organizing such rallies and programs to bring peace and harmony between different communities.

The rally started around 4:00PM from the organization’s office at Patel Circle. It was flagged off by Pradeep Kumawat, Director, Alok Sansthan along with Father Norbert Herman of Sarv Dharm Maitri Sangh.

Dr. Kumawat said that Maharana Pratap was the first person in Rajasthan to respect Sarva Dharma as his “Senapati” was Muslim and his soldiers were tribals. [Read more...]

Langar Preparation Starts One Day before ‘Prakash Parv’

On the eve before Guru Nanak Jayanti in Udaipur, preparations of Langar (Mass Supper) started at Sacha Khand Darbar Gurudwara at Sikh Colony. Various religious programs, along with a health Checkup Camp will be held tomorrow on 28th November, on the occasion of the Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev.

Sikh Community protests against forged police complaint

A memorandum was presented to the Inspector general of police by the Sikh community on the issue of disputed land of Gurudwara located at Yadav Colony, Ambamata. The community has requested to legalize the land of Gurudwara and to take strict action against the offenders.

Today, more than fifty people from Sikh community gathered at the City Collectorate to demonstrate and protest against the false complaints and the construction work at Yadav Colony Gurudwara. People of the community alleged that a person Gopal Kotiya has been presenting fake request in front of the court and lodging false complaints against the innocent people of Sikh community. Sikh Community Supports Kappu, demands arrest of Offenders

Sikh Community of Udaipur approached Inspector General of Udaipur Range, T. C. Damor today and appealed to take strict action against people who were allegedly involved in the incident of 11 Oct violence in a cricket match at Field Club that injured Ravindrapal Singh (Kappu).

Representatives of Gurudwara Sach Khand Darbar approached I.G.’s office today morning with the victim Ravindrapal Singh who charged Manoj Choudhary, Mohammad Shahid, Anwar Hussain, Adil Sheikh and 10-12 other people for allegedly assaulting him, soon after the Veteran’s Tournament at Field Club.

They demanded strict against all the culprits and warned for aggressive demonstration if the victim won’t get justice.

According to sources, a fight broke between Kappu and the few members of cricket team over a small issue. Both parties have lodged complaint at Ambamata Police Station on 11 Oct.

Akhand Paath, Shabad Echoed in Gurudwara on Baisakhi

Baisakhi was celebrated today in Udaipur with zeal and enthusiasm. Gurudwaras in the city were decorated lavishly and Akhand-Paath was also organized on the occasion.

Tej Raj Singh Robin, President of Sach Khand Darbar Gurudwara at Sikh Colony informed, “The Akhaand Paath Saheb concluded in the evening at 7.15. Udaipur Sikh Pilgrims proceed to Nanded

55 Sikh Pilgrims from Udaipur have left for Nanded, to pay their homage to Takht Sri Huzur Sahib Gurudwara at Nanded, the city situated on the banks of the river Godavari in Maharashtra.

This is for the first time that a group of Sikh pilgrims from Udaipur will be visiting the famous Sikh Pilgrimage. A colorful farewell was offered to all pilgrims by hundreds of community members including friends and families of the devotees at Udaipur Railway Station today. [Read more...]
