Theft worth Rs. 50,000 at Shobhagpura

A case of theft was registered at Sukher Police Station for a theft of more than Rs 50,000 at a house in the Shobhagpura area.

Khumani Bai w/o Devi lal Khatik, resident of Shobhagpura, lives in her house alone. Yesterday evening she went to a relative’s house for the Jaagran Night at Sevashram, Dore Nagar at around 7.30 pm. When she returned home today morning, she fainted after seeing the main gate open and everything in the room scattered.

Rs 20,000 cash and half a kilo of Silver ornaments, including antique jewelry of the old lady, have been reported stolen. [Read more...]

Residents Fury over Construction Mayhem

Residents of Shobhagpura expressed their anger and annoyance caused due to the construction work of a commercial complex going on in the area today morning.

The residents alleged that due to the construction, heavy vehicles loaded with cement and construction material pass through the only road that is connecting the neighborhood from main 100ft. road.

The road is damaged due to the heavy traffic movement, and the cracked sewerage lane made the condition worst.

No administrative officer or police force responded the scene; however the issue was resolved when building contractor promised to repair the road soon. Few people also expressed anger saying that the Sarpanch of the area Vardichand Dangi was contacted several times but he did not responded. [Read more...]
