“Pratap Nagar Over-Bridge, Elevated Road is Necessary” Rajni Dangi insists Gehlot

Udaipur Municipal Council Chairperson Rajni Dangi has discussed several issues related to the infrastructural development of the city with Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot at Dabok Airport today. CM was departing for Jaipur after staying overnight in Udaipur.

Rajni Dangi had insisted Gehlot to look upon three major issues and requirements of Udaipur, consisting of Over-Bridge at Pratap Nagar Chouraha, Elevated Road from Udiapol to Court Chouraha and upgrading city to Municipal Corporation (Nagar Palika). In the long discussion, Dangi also requested to provide more funds for overall development of the city in the next budget.

Dangi told CM that an application regarding construction of over-bridge at Pratap Nagar Chouraha is still pending for approval with National Highway Authority, which should be approved as early as possible, as the chouraha is faces heavy traffic every day and creates problem. [Read more...]

Mentally ill man jumps in Front of Train

A 37-year-old man committed suicide by jumping in front of a train. The deceased was later identified as Bhagwatilal Joshi, resident of Subhash Nagar. The mishap took place today evening at railway track, Seva Ashram.

According to GRPF personnel, at around 6pm it was informed that a man jumped in front of Udaipur-Delhi bound Chetak Express. The train halted till security personnel responded at the scene. A witness identified as Devendra, saw Bhagwatilal jumping in front of train. Bhagwatilal died instantly due to grave multiple injuries; the body is shifted to mortuary. [Read more...]

A major accident was avoided today morning at around 11:15, when people offered their assistance by putting off the fire blazing the scooterette of a middle aged lady in the middle of Seva Shram over bridge. The fire was controlled by public and no injuries were recorded.

Kailash Kanwar (45), resident of Bathera Village, presently residing at Subhash Nagar was returning to her home on her Kinetic Style, while she reached Seva Shram over bridge her vehicle started smoking. Rs.1 Lac Stolen from Bajaj Sevashram Office, Guards Detained

A complaint for theft of around Rupees One Lac from Bajaj Sevashram’s office, Udaipur was lodged with Bhopalpura Police today. The incident that occurred last night, was discovered today morning by office employees. Two guards who were on duty at night have been detained by the police for interrogation.

“Suspected thieves allegedly opened the safe’s locker with keys.This strongly indicates involvement of an insider” says Madan Gehlot, C.I Bhopalpura Police Station.

injured-victim-00A 23 year old man injured badly after been hit by a car at Sevashram Circle today evening.

Kanhaiya Lal Dangi, resident of Gudli RIICO Industrial Area who is working as laborer was going towards the city when a car hit him from back injuring Kanhiya on head.

The police was informed about the accident by the locals and the injured was rushed to M.B hospital and admitted to the ward no. 16. His condition is stated to be out of danger.

Student Talking on Phone Hit by Train, Dies

A 24-year-old girl was hit by train while she was walking on the railway track near Sevashram today morning at around 9:40 am.

Rajni Sahu d/o Babulal Sahu, resident of Sevashram area was going to the main road when a train coming from behind knocks her down with severe injuries on head. She was rushed to a hospital with the help of locals and railway police. Rajni was declared dead by doctors of M.B Hospital.

According to Police, the information was provided by few locals who had seen her walking on the track and allegedly talking on mobile phone before the mishap. A mobile sim card and mobile flap was found from the accident spot.

Rajni was a student at ITI College Pratapnagar and she was residing with her maternal uncle Pushkar Lal while Rajni’s father stays at Mori village, Daroli.

According to her uncle Pushkar Lal, she left home at around 9:15 am in the morning on Thursday, April 12, 2012 and walked till Sevashram Main Road from where she used to take auto rickshaw for Pratap Nagar.
