On the occasion of Rajasthan Day today, various events were organized in Udaipur, including a painting exhibition, puppet show and cultural programs.

Demand for Recognizing Rajasthani as constitutional language

Today, on the occasion of International Mother Language Day, a Rajasthani Language Committee has begun a protest movement to get constitutional recognition for Rajasthani in the country.

The members of ‘Akhil Bhartiya Rajasthani Bhasha Sangarsh Samiti’ presented a memorandum in the name of the Prime Minister to the local authority demanding respectable position for Rajasthani language. [Read more...]

Under-22 Cricket: Rajasthan and Punjab ready to clash

C.K. Nayudu Under- 22 Cricket Match between host Rajasthan and Punjab will start from 14th Oct at Field Club Cricket ground in Udaipur. Both the teams have arrived in Udaipur and had a tough practice session at the Field Club Cricket ground today.

Coach of Rajasthan Cricket team Mr. Dinesh Jaiman told our reporter that preparation of his team is very good for this match and the players are very confident to perform in this all important first match of the season. He also said that the team consists of good all-rounders and pace bowlers along with good batsmen in the team.

According to Mr. Jaiman, the fitness level of the team and confidence is in good shape. They have been practicing at Field Club ground for last 15 days which has given them good idea about the ground conditions.

Captain of Rajasthan Cricket team, Ankit Lamba also believes that the players will give their best in the match. He said that the team is well acquainted with the conditions and fully fit to take on team Punjab.

Kunwarveer Singh, captain of Punjab U-22 team told us that his team is perfectly fit both physically and mentally towards this match with top players like Siddharth Kaul who played in Under-19 World Cup for India and Jaskaran Singh who played for India-A in Emerging Players Tournament in Australia and their presence will give a morale boost to the team and will surely give tough fight to the Rajasthan Team.

Aniket-ChaudharyAniket Choudhry, who made his 1st class debut through Irani Trophy Cricket matches against Rest of India a few days ago at Jaipur is a left arm Medium pace bowler from Rajasthan and is all set to go for this match.

During a conversation, he said that during the session, the senior players of the Rajasthan Team like Aakash Chopra, Hrishikesh Kanitkar, Pankaj Singh guided him on the strengths and basics that helped him to perform well in the Irani Trophy Match.

He said that working on basics of Cricket and hard work has helped him to come to this level and now he is all set to perform his best in coming Ranji Trophy season and the other matches ahead.

Census 2011: Population Rises to 1.21 Billion

The Indian population has risen up to 1.21billion according to the report given by the Indian census department on Thursday, March 31, 2011 based on the census data of 2011. The 2011 report is the 15th census conducted since 1872.
