4 Mumbai residents injured in accident at Pratap Nagar

A head on collision of an Innova car and truck injured four people including two men and two women, all passengers of the car. The car was coming from Dabok Airport towards Udaipur while the truck was going towards Ahmedabad.

The accident took place today morning at around 7 near Pratap Nagar Chouraha. Driver of the truck is absconding along with his helper. All injured were rushed to a private hospital, where two of the victims are admitted in Intensive Care Unit. [..]

Thieves steal jewelries from a House

Theft in a house at Saroop Sagar Chouraha, Pratap Nagar was reported yesterday. Gold and silver ornaments were stolen from the house of Omprakash Khatik when he and his family went to attend a wedding ceremony.

The theft was discovered when the family returned and found the main gate of the house open.

Omprakash found that several gold and silver jewelries were stolen including few hundred rupees cash. Pratap Nagar police has started the investigation.

2 arrested for theft and robbery

Pratap Nagar Police arrested two people, under the charges of theft and robbery at two different places today. Both the accused are interrogated and police is trying to recover the looted items.

The accused Mukesh Suthar is arrested for stealing Rs.3.5 lac from a shop at Purohito ki Madri. Whereas another accused, Nathu Gameti is arrested for robbing cash and mobile phone from a truck driver at Madri area.

Fake Bride arrested from Mandsaur

Five people including a young woman were arrested from Mandsaur for allegedly cheating an Udaipur man. All accused were reportedly caught by police while they were planning to cheat another person. The prime accused Maya alias Payal married a man from Khempura, Udaipur and after few days the victim gave Rs.80 thousand to his in laws. The family including his wife, her parents, brother and uncle fled away. [..]

CID to investigate student Bhavya Shah’s death

Parents of Bhavya Shah, a dental student from Ahmadabad who was studying in Udaipur and allegedly committed suicide in Feb 2013 approached Chief Minister of Rajasthan and demanded high level investigation over their daughter’s suspicious death.

After CM’s direction, the case is now transferred to Crime Investigation Department (CID). The parents of the deceased student doubted mistreatment of hostel authorities. Parents of the girl also doubt that Bhavya was murdered and hostel administration was responsible for the crime. [..]
