15 married couples of Maheshwari community performed Samuhik Tulsi Vivah (Wedding of Tulsi) a religious ritual to symbolize peace and prosperity.

This first mass event was organized by Maheshwari Mahila Mandal, Hiran Magri which also included a procession consisting of all the Hindu wedding rituals. [Read more...]

Kiran Maheshwari to speak at International Maheshwari Convention in California

maheshwari-logoKiran Maheshwari, National Chief Secretary, BJP will be taking part as a chief guest and keynote speaker at the International Maheshwari Rajasthani Convention 2012, hosted by Maheshwari Mahasabha of North America (MMNA), starting from Aug 31 to Sep 3 at California, United States.

Kiran will also speak on the subject: Maheshwari Achievers, Movers and Shakers and also meet other Indian communities residing in the U.S. In her 16 day tour, she will explore the democratic awareness in American society and the proximity of Indians with their culture.

The four day event comprises of lectures to be addressed by prominent personalities, including, philanthropists, educationists and industrialists etc. A series of entertainment rounds are also to be presented by folk artists, various competitions will be the catch of the convention. [Read more...]
