Slogan Writing to express your deeper thoughts

The Pioneer Institute of Management, Udaipur arranged an event yesterday on Fatehsagar Pal where Udaipurites penned their thoughts on a 90 feet long board.

It was a Slogan Making event where residents of Udaipur wrote a slogan related to current and persistent issues of our city and country.

The event which included the National Anthem by 300 individuals was attended by nearly 5,000 localites who wrote slogans on the board.  The board was 90 feet long and 5 feet wide. [Read more...]

Homage paid to Martyrs on Independence Day

94.3 My FM celebrated Independence Day on Fatehsagar Pal by organizing an event for martyrs titled “Ek Sham Shahidon Ke Naam”.

The event started at 7PM with a candle march to pay tribute to martyrs. This was followed by honoring of their families by BSF Jawans. VVIP guests at Ramada Resort

On occasion of the 66th Independence Day, Management of Ramada Udaipur Resort & Spa invited underprivileged children of Narayan Seva Sansthan Trust for lunch. The children were also taken for a ride around the hotel.

From the managerial level to staff of each and every department of hotel was involved in making their special guests feel cheerful and comfortable.

Independance Day celebrations at Shepherd Memorial Church

A musical evening by New Heavens Entertainment was organized at Shepherd Memorial Church, Chetak Circle.  The evening was dedicated especially to Lt. Archit Verdia and Deputy Commandant Tarun Gupta, who sacrificed their lives for the country.

Bands including World Race (USA), Colours in Dreams and Trinity performed at the event, which started from 6.30PM and stretched till 9.30PM. [Read more...]

Independence with Jadoo ki Jhappi

Youth volunteers of Udaipur celebrated the 66th Independence of India in a very unique way by hugging everyone in an attempt to spread communal and social harmony.

Seventeen boys and girls who loved to be called as ‘Volunteer Udaipur’ do not officially belong to any social organization.  They have set a team of 3-4 and placed themselves at Celebration Mall, Fateh Sagar, Dudh Talai and Jagdish Chowk.

The ‘Free Hug’ campaign was kicked off at 6pm and continued till 8:30.  Jayesh Mohta, a passionate artist and one of the founders of ‘Banyan Roots’ led the group and implemented the thought of bringing everyone close to each other in this manner.

“We believe that true Independence comes from own our self and the starting point is love and respect for each other”, said Jayesh.

“We don’t see any strangers or even a common friend as a friend, we are used to of this custom which needs to be stopped now and ‘free hug’ or ‘Jadoo ki Jhappi’ is a small step towards it”, says an active volunteer.

Jago Party gathers Common Indian

Sitting at the shore of Lake Fateh Sagar with friends and family could have been one way to celebrate the holiday on Independence Day. But to turn the evening momentous, Jago Party organized a open question-answer sessions at Fateh Sagar today evening.

Initiating the series of awareness programs, people threw heart touching questions regarding socio-political system of the country.

Solar Home Systems distributed to 40 students of Rajasthan

Boond Foundation celebrated Independence Day yesterday at Seva Mandir, Kotra Block Office.  Under their unique idea of providing scholarship to students of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, 40 students of Rajasthan have been benefitted.

Scholarships, which was not in the form of cash, but Solar Home System (Lamps + Battery Panel) was distributed to 40 students of different schools from Kotra Block.  Seva Mandir helped in listing the names of who should be given the scholarships, which were based on the performance of students and attendance. I-Day Function at MB Stadium to witness 28 Honors

Independence Day will be celebrated by the District Administration on 15th August from 9am onwards at the Maharana Bhupal Stadium. The Minister for Tribal, Regional and Village Development  and Panchayati Raj, Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya will hoist the flag and inspect the parade during the march-past and will take the Guard of Honor.

B.R. Bhati, ADM, Administration, will read out the note from Margret Alwa, Honorable Governor, Rajasthan.  Dance performances and physical exercise will be the centre of attraction at the event.

Celebrate Independence by Hugging each other

A young volunteer group of Udaipur is going to celebrate this Independence Day in an unusual way.  Unlike the conventional manner to express the patriotism, the youth members will give free hugs to each other.

The preparatory meeting to plan and execute the Free-Hug will be conducted tomorrow at 6pm at Banyan Roots.

According to Jayesh Mohta, even after so many years of Independence, many people are set aside and are unresponsive to those from different social or religious group.  “This is an attempt to spread love and harmony”, said Jayesh.

There are 10-15 volunteers who will stand at different locations of the city on 15th Aug and will hug whoever feels at ease and greet each other for Independence Day.

Inmates Celebrate Independence Day

prisoner-udaipur-jail1The Sarv Dharm Maitri Sangh organized a cultural event today afternoon for inmates at Central Jail under the series of events on the occasion of the 65th Independence Day of India.

Chief Guests at today’s program were Mushtaq Chanchal, Poet; Sandeep Singathvadia and Father Norbert, Organizing Director of the event.
