A 55-year-old labour died today after he accidentally fell from the terrace of a three storey under construction building at Vidya Nagar-Sec-4 Hiran Magri.
The deceased Sualal Regar, resident of Manva Khera was standing on an overhang when suddenly it broke. Regar lost his balance and fell on the ground. He died on the spot due to severe head injuries.
A house at Sector 5 caught fire due to possible short circuit. No casualties were reported in the incident, as fire brigade controlled the flames.
According to sources, the house of a woman, Chandrakala caught fire today evening; Chandrakala is a rag picker and collects and stores waste material at home. Due to fire, the stored material got destroyed; however Chandrakala and her two daughters were saved unhurt.

Narendra Dashora, a resident of Sector 3, Hiran Magri, was shocked to see his home ransacked yesterday when he came back from a long absence of 25 days. Around Rs.12,000 along with some gold and silver ornaments were found missing.
Dashora was out of town with his family and when he reached his home, he found the doors of his house lying all open and everything scattered inside.
