Theft at Jain Temple, precious items stolen

A Jain temple at Sector 5 was targeted by suspected thieves.  Precious items, utensils and few thousands in cash has been reportedly stolen, last night of 22nd March.

The incident that took place at Shree Shanti Nath Digambar Jain temple, situated at Prabhat Nargar, Sector 5 was discovered today morning.

Roshan Lal Audichya, the Pujari of the temple discovered the doors of temple lying open when he visited the temple at 6 in the morning.  The lock of the main gate and the door of a room inside the temple were broken and a silver plate, a silver Chatr, a DVD player and more than Rs. 5000 in cash was stolen from the almirah, informed the police.

Sumati Lal, leader of Shanti Nath Jain Samaj has lodged the complaint.

Rs. 8 lac Secret Donation to Narayan Seva Sansthan stolen in Transit

A secret donation to the Narayan Seva Sansthan was reportedly stolen from an employee of the Sansthan who was carrying the funds from Mumbai to Udaipur.

Mangi Lal Gayri, an employee of the Narayan Seva Sansthan was sent to Mumbai by the Sansthan five days back to receive a secret donation from a firm named ‘Shree Krishna’.  Mangi Lal took the money, which was Rs. 10.5 lac cash and he gave a receipt of the Sansthan to the donor.

Rakesh Sharma, a representative of the donor, saw Mangi Lal off in an Udaipur bound bus.  When the bus reached Vasai, Mangi Lal disembarked from the bus to use the toilet, leaving the cash filled bag in the vehicle.  However, when he returned to the seat, he found the bag to be there, but with Rs. 8 lac missing, as per the incident narrated by Mangi Lal to the Police. Pirated CDs confisticated during Raid

The Hiran Magri police have confisticated 43 pirated CDs and DVDs from a shop in Sector 4, Hiran Magri.

The shop owner has been booked under the Copyright Act. Harish Lekhari, the shop owner and resident of Sector 14, Hiran Magri, runs a CD shop named “Asta Lavista” near his house. He was arrested after the police raided his shop following information that he was dealing in pirated CDs and DVDs at his shop.

The Police raided his shop yesterday afternoon and took into custody 43 pirated CDs and DVDs and a computer from his shop and arrested Harish when hr was preparing pirated CDs using the internet and booked him under the Copyright Act, informed the Police.

Larceny in a deserted house at Sector-4

HiranMagri-Chori123 tola gold ornaments, 51 tola silver ornaments and Rs. 3,30,000 cash have reportedly been stolen last night from a house at Hiran Magri Sector-4 area.

According to Police, the house belongs to a Property Dealer, Manish Jain. Yesterday, Manish left for Eklingji at 9.30 pm leaving his family to some relatives in Dhariyavas, giving thieves the benefit of stealing in a deserted house. [Read more...]

Police Raids House to Find Murder Weapon

Hiran Magri Police raided a house at Reti Stand to recover the weapon used for killing Salumbar up-sarpanch Madhav Singh on 1st March. Three people from Udaipur are arrested in the case, wherein the murder was a result of a property dispute. Madhav’s body was found at Banswara Road on Saturday 2nd March.

The accused Yogesh Vadera, Upendra alias Sonu and Bansilal Nagda all residents of Gariyawas are arrested for killing 48-year-old Madhav Singh. [Read more...]

Thieves steal Rs. 23,000 via Net Banking

A complaint was lodged at Hiran Magri Police Station today according to which, Rs. 22,778 were illegally wired from the account of the victim in a span of 24 hours via online phone recharge transactions.

As informed by the victim- Ankita Jain- she last used the Net Banking facility to access her account for an online phone recharge and later withdrew amount of Rs. 1000 from the ATM on 25th Feb, 2013. She started receiving messages on her mobile for the online recharge transactions today morning, that she never authorized and which summed up to Rs. 22,778. [Read more...]

House break-in at Hiran Magri Sector 14

A school teacher has lodged a complaint of theft that took place on 13 Feb. at her house located in Sector 14. According to the report, jewelry worth lacs of rupees, including Rs. 7000 cash were stolen, when the family was out of the house.

According to Meera Jain, a school teacher resident of I Block Sector 14, when she came back home from school in the afternoon on Wednesday 13 Feb, she noticed the house was already open. Upon entering inside, she saw the almirah was lying open and all gold jewelries and cash were missing.

The police complaint was lodged yesterday on 17 Feb.

Theft at Hiran Magri Sector 3

Narendra Dashora, a resident of Sector 3, Hiran Magri, was shocked to see his home ransacked yesterday when he came back from a long absence of 25 days. Around Rs.12,000 along with some gold and silver ornaments were found missing.

Dashora was out of town with his family and when he reached his home, he found the doors of his house lying all open and everything scattered inside. He rushed to check the safe and found that several ornaments, silver glasses, silver coins and Rs.12000 cash were missing. Dashora reported the incident to the police. [Read more...]

Two injured in different assaults

In two different incidents of alleged assaults reported last night in the city, two people were injured and admitted in MB Hospital.

Sharafat hussain, a mobile shop owner at Hiran Magri area was attacked by a group of men, who came to purchase mobile phone at his shop last night. The accused were identified as Jaggu Harijan and Shankar Bhuppa.

In another incident, a man was stabbed over personal rivalry at Bichhu Ghati, the attackers fled from the scene. [Read more...]

Another House at Sector-4 targeted by Thieves

A residence at Hiran Magri sector 4 was targeted by thieves last night when the family was out. An undisclosed amount of gold and silver jewelry including Rs.10k cash is missing from the house.

Suspected thieves opened the locked house of Hemlata Solanki at Rameshwar Park last night when she was at hospital as her daughter has been admitted for last three days. Thieves broke the safe and swept off gold and silver jewelry including Rs.10 thousand cash.

Today morning, a priest of a nearby temple noticed the opened house and informed the owner. [Read more...]
