MLSU to Host International Conference on Management

An International conference on ‘Sustainable Management Practices’ will be organized at Faculty of Management Studies Campus, MohanLal Sukhadia University from 30th March to 31st March.

The event will take place under the direction of Prof. I.V Trivedi, Vice Chancellor, MLSU and sponsored by UGC, where delegates from different countries will be participating.

Prof. Janat Shah, Director, IIM, Udaipur and Prof. Ashok Ogra, Ex-Director, Doordarshan & Regional Director, Discovery Channel, Asia will be the Chief Guests at the inaugural ceremony and Prof. M.M Salunkhe, Vice Chancellor Central University of Rajasthan and Prof. Raj Singh, Vice Chancellor, Amity University, Jaipur will be the guests of honor. HZL to Host International Conference MPT-2011

Hindustan Zinc, Udaipur an enterprise of Vedanta Group will host the 12th International Conference on Mineral Processing Technology (MPT-2011) in October 20-22, 2011.

More than 500 delegates from India and abroad are expected to attend this 3 day conference organized with assistance of Indian Institute of Mineral Engineers (IIME).

This year’s theme is “Recent Advances in Processing of Non- Ferrous and Industrial Minerals”. Over 200 papers are expected to be submitted by industry experts in MPT-2011.

The company is known as the world’s largest integrated producer of zinc. It also deals in zinc-lead-silver business. Last year the event was organized in Jamshedpur, this year Udaipur has been selected to host the event. Hindustan Zinc oversees more than 85% of Indian Zinc market.

The conference which started in the year 2000 by IIME has build a wide platform to discuss various aspects of mineral processing and resolve issues in terms of extraction of metal and how to manage wastes from mineral resources.

Hindustan Zinc has introduced various revolutionary methods to develop the industry standards in the past several years. The company has its Central Research & Development Laboratory active since 1976 which constantly works on widening up various technical prospects for the industry like process to recover lead and silver from low grade lead concentrate and hot gas precipitator dust, successful implementation of bulk flotation process for mines, to recover values from the waste and optimize waste management.

This state-of-art laboratory is recognized by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India and is also listed in American Society for Testing and Materials, an online directory of testing laboratories.
