On the occasion Mahesh Navmi, a grand rally and various functions will be organized in the city from 10th to 16th June by Udaipur City Maheshwari Sabha.
Sabha President Bhuvnesh Maheshwari said that this will be a first of its kind of celebration which will include several cultural and social events.
Dr. Satma Narayan Maheshwari said that Mahesh Navmi is the foundation day of Maheshwari Community and will be celebrated all the community members together..
15 married couples of Maheshwari community performed Samuhik Tulsi Vivah (Wedding of Tulsi) a religious ritual to symbolize peace and prosperity.

On the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, various religious processions were taken out in the city. The devotees were all seen full with enthusiasm of the occasion. A 2070 meter long turban was also offered at Manshapurn Balaji Temple which grabbed attention of many.
Pandit Pavan Kumar, Manshapurn Balaji Temple informed that the Abhishek of Lord Hanuman was performed with 200 kg milk and 56 kg of bhog was also offered. [Read more...]

Thousands of Sindhi community members came together for a mass procession taken out today on the occasion of Cheti Chand, organised by Baluchistan Panchayat Udaipur.
The procession started at around 11.30 am from Sanatan Mandir at Shakti Nagar after a Maha Arti earlier this morning. The procession passed through all the major circles of the city and was welcomed by the local businessmen with flowers and edible items.
Tableau of Lord Shiva and Parvati remained one of the major attractions including the Maharashtrian folk band playing drums and traditional instrument kept the feet tapping. [Read more...]

Starting from the morning, a Maha-Arti will be organized at 9 am in Sanatan Mandir. Then at 11 am, a huge procession displaying colorful tableaux will be taken out from main areas of the city concluding at Kamlawari. To celebrate the auspicious occasion of Mahaveer Jayanti, the preparations for 7 days of grand celebration are on the roll.
Rajkumar Fattawat of Mahaveer Jain Council said that the events during the celebration include fruit distribution in the hospital, food distribution to differently-abled students, musical Navkar Mantra recitation, meeting on the ideas and thoughts of Lord Mahaveera etc.
The programs will start a week ahead of the Mahaveer Jayanti which is on 23rd April. On the final day, a huge procession containing various tableau, banners and boards will be taken out sending a message of peace and prosperity.
With the end of Holi festival, Sneh Milan programs are being organized in the city by various social groups and organizations. In this relation, Senior Citizen Welfare Society ‘Umang’ and Chanakyapuri Development Committee organized programs in their own ways.
Chanakyapuri Development Committee (Sec-4) conducted a program in presence of 300 members at colony’s public park.
