With the beginning of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2013 from 18th January, United Christian Front (UCF), Udaipur conducted an evening prayer at RPC Rajasthan Pentecostal Church Rani Road, Udaipur on 22nd January.
Pastor Dr. Paul of RPC church welcomed the gathering; the prayer began with a praise and worship. After reading the word of God, Fr. Norbert Herman SVD, The Director of Maitri Sadan, preached a powerful homily on the theme ‘walking as the friends of Jesus’.In his captivating Sermon, he said that the Christians around the world are called as friends with Jesus and friends with one another. The rally showcased the colours of Unity as well as depicted the peaceful co-existence of different castes creeds, religions and sex. Maitri Sangh is known for organizing such rallies and programs to bring peace and harmony between different communities.
The rally started around 4:00PM from the organization’s office at Patel Circle. It was flagged off by Pradeep Kumawat, Director, Alok Sansthan along with Father Norbert Herman of Sarv Dharm Maitri Sangh.
Dr. Kumawat said that Maharana Pratap was the first person in Rajasthan to respect Sarva Dharma as his “Senapati” was Muslim and his soldiers were tribals. [..]
