Actress, Social Worker and Big Boss winner, Shweta Tiwari,  Avika Gaur of ‘Balika Vadhu’ fame and CEO of Vedanta Group, Akhilesh Joshi visited Udaipur as Chief Guests for the event organized by Nand Ganga Manav Seva Samiti to present the ‘Nand Ganga Award’ to Brahmin students.

51 talented students of Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education in 10th Std and 12th Std from Udaipur, Rajsamand, Dungarpur, Banswada, Chittorgarh, Pratapgarh and Sirohi districts were selected and awarded a Certificate, consolation money, Memento and a T-shirt each. [Read more...]

Shree Parshuram Sarvbrahman Samaaj committee in association with the Aadigodh Sanadhya Brahman Samaaj and Chanakya Family organized a Collective Wedding of 16 couples and sacred thread ceremony of 21 bachelors on Thursday at Vidya Niketan, Hiran Magri, Sector-4.

Organizing Secretary, Natwar Lal Sharma said, “Baraat arrived at 11 in the morning and received a warm welcome. At 12:15 the Pani Grahan Sanskar, the chief ritual of the marriage took place, which was followed by a Marriage Reception at 1:30 and finally the bride was bid farewell at 4 in the evening”. Goswami Samaj Organizes Introductory Meet

The Dashnam Goswami Samaj had their ‘Introductory Meet’ for Youngsters of Marriageable age today. It was a first of its kind meet to be held in Rajasthan and was organized by ‘Dashnaam Goswami Samaj Navyuvak Mandal, Udaipur’ at Bhandari Darshak Mandap, Gandhi Ground, Udaipur.

The program started with the inaugural ceremony conducted by Chief Guest Dr. Mahesh Giri Goswami, National President and was led by Babulal Bharti, State President.

Goswami Community members attended and participated in the function from Udaipur as well as various other locations including Jodhpur, Ajmer, Siroi, Kota, Pilani, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. Breakfast was served at 9 AM and lunch at 1.30PM for all. The main event of Introduction of Girls and Boys was started from 10.30 AM which is scheduled to continue till 6 PM. [Read more...]

All-Brahmin Bachelors Meet on Parshuram Jayanti

The Sarv Brahmin Samaj Samiti organized an ‘Introduction Meet for Males and Females of All Brahmin Community’ today at the Fateh Senior Secondary School, Udaipur at 10 AM.

The third day of the 5 day celebration for Parshuram Jayanti, which is on 24th April, started with a rally (Shobhayatra), consisting of over 3,000 individuals, which began at Fateh School and crossed Surajpol, Asthal Mandir, Mukherjee Chowk, Teliyon Ki Mata Ji Area, Delhi Gate on its way back to Fateh School.

The introduction conference started with the traditional ritual of garlanding the Parshuram Idol and reciting of religious verses (Shloks) in a Mangalacharan by Pandit Dev Shankar Shastri.  Many well-known figures including Girija Vyas; Bhanu Kumar Shastri, Former Minister, BJP; Laxmi Narayan Garg, Owner, Bharat Tankers and K.K Sharma, State President, Rajeev Gandhi Brigadier Sena were present at this introductory conference.
