68th birth anniversary of President of Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation and Chairman of HRH Group of Hotels, Arvind Singh Mewar was celebrated today at Shambhu Niwas in City Palace where hundreds of well wishers came to wish Maharana.

On the occasion, palace’s annual calendar of the year 2013 was unveiled. This calendar is based on the theme which depicts the story of 1924 Rolls Royce which won first prize among all the vintage cars in a competition that was organized recently in California, USA. [Read more...]

Gulab Chand Katariya MLA (Udaipur) and Ex-Home Minister of Rajasthan turned 69 today. Various programs were organized by the BJP members, the Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha and Mahila Morcha.

Witty International School, Udaipur celebrated the birthday of Mother Teresa on Monday and paid tribute to the reverend soul on her 98th birth anniversary.

Students, through a one-act play, depicted the sacrifices, services and social reformations initiated by Mother Teresa.

Director, Ms. Preeti Sogani encouraged the pupils to lead the world not only by educating themselves, but also, by being a worthy human being through their good deeds towards the society.

Mother Teresa was an Albanian born Indian Roman Catholic nun. She was the recipient of numerous honors including the 1979 Nobel Peace Prize and India’s highest civilian award, the Bharat Ratna.

The Chancellor of JRNVU, Prof. Bhawani Shankar Garg celebrated his 85th birthday with employees and officials of the University yesterday.

The employees garlanded Prof. Garg with a 51 kg garland and offered a Mewari Paag to honor him on the day.  An Abhishekh was offered at Mahakaleshwar Temple, where prayers were made for the long life of Prof. Garg.

It was another busy day for UdaipurTimes.com team; while collecting our daily news and content we had an additional task to execute as UT marks its 2nd Birthday today.  Instead of hosting a party, we thought of celebrating it with children who face special challenges in their daily lives.

Thus, we tried to extend our joy and happiness with children at the Theosophical Society and HIV positive children of UNPLH (Udaipur Network of People Living with HIV).

 

9AM

The UT team enthusiastically arranged breakfast and sweets for children and themselves and went to the Theosophical Society to serve breakfast to 18 physically disabled children.

Later, a session of chit chat and games were followed by a cake cutting ceremony with the entire UT team of reporters, editors, techies and marketing staff and overjoyed children. [Read more...]
