advocateAn advocate from Kherwada is arrested today by Bhopalpura Police for alleged frauds in the form of false promises of providing jobs in various Government departments. Police has seized Rs. 4 Lac and more than a dozen fake seals of several Government departments, including Collector’s office, Session Courts, Irrigation Department etc.

The accused advocate Vinod Kumar Pathak (55) quit practicing law from last five years and started duping people in the name of assigning lucrative jobs in Government departments as UDC, LDC and Clerks. [Read more...]

Car slams Beggars outside temple, Kills one

One beggar died during treatment in hospital while another beggar received injuries after an uncontrolled car overran them today outside Hanuman Temple at Bhopalpura, near Central Academy School.

The car driver was arrested and the case was lodged against him.

65-year-old beggar identified as Lal Singh from Village Modi died during treatment, while another beggar Amra Dangi (48) got injured and was admitted in MB Hospital. [Read more...]

How an Ex-Petty officer in Navy Turned into Conman

Like every criminal has a background, 40-year-old P. Ramesh Prajapat (in photo above), the mastermind who confessed to executing crimes that earned him nearly Rs. 2 Crores has a long and interesting life story too.

Resident of Rudrapur, Deoria (UP), Prajapat was arrested with four of his associates while they were trying to fool an Udaipur based doctor in the name of gifting him a fake Health Insurance Policy. Prajapat was arrested from Bhilwara on 25th April with two of his gang members while three others were arrested from Udaipur.

This is not the first time when Prajapat has been nabbed by the Police; earlier too he was jailed in U.P and Maharashtra.

Working as a Petty Officer in the Indian Navy for 15 years, Prajapat took retirement and was later conned by a Nigerian woman, which made him penniless. To pay hotel bills, Prajapat bluffed a Kanpur based businessman for which he was caught by the police and served 6 months in Jail. [Read more...]

Doctor Helps get Crooks Arrested

Three members of an Inter-State Gang were arrested yesterday from Udaipur and Bhillwara. Two of them were arrested from the home of a local doctor while they were attempting to bluff him into paying a huge sum to secure a fake Health Insurance policy.

The incident took effect after the Bhopalpura police was informed by Dr. Ajay Singh Chundawat of Sanjivani Hospital at Hiran Magri.

Dr. Ajay was called on Wednesday evening by a person named P. Ramesh, a South Indian, who assumed the false identity of R.N. Mathur, a Director of BSNL. [Read more...]

Man subjected to assault at Bhopalpura

An incident of alleged physical assault and threatening was reported yesterday, 4th April at Bhopalpura Matth.

Police complaint for the same has been lodged by the victim Adil Sheikh, who accused three people Vinod, Saddam and Moinuddin for thrashing him, when he refused to give them Rs. 5000.

According to Bhopalpura police, there was an unresolved issue going on between the victim and the accused. Adil also alleged that the trio also threatened him for refusing to be the witness of an earlier case of assault booked against the accused.

Money Launderer Physically Abuses Woman

A 60-year-old money launderer was arrested last night by the Bhopalpura police under the charges of molesting a woman.

The victim lodged a complaint that the accused identified as Moti Singh first made her drink juice after which she started feeling dizzy and got unconscious. Then the accused took her to a Hotel and physically abused her.

The victim woman had borrowed Rs.20000 from the accused on interest and for that, the accused called her to a common place with Cheques and an Affidavit. There he offered her a glass of juice mixed with suspicious substance.

The accused was arrested last night by the police.

Rs. 3.44 Lac Stolen from Parked Car

A car parked outside Central Academy School in Sardarpura was burgled in broad day light today morning, as thieves stole Rs. 3.44 lac from the parked vehicle, when the owner was in school.

Rakesh Suhalka, resident of Sector 14, Hiran Magri parked his car outside the school and went in to get the academic result of his daughter. Suhalka left the cash in bag inside his car. When he came back, he saw the window glass was broken and the bag containing cash was missing.

Rakesh owns a wine shop in Dewali and he was about to deposit the cash in the bank. Police have started the investigations as per the information provided by Suhalka. [Read more...]

Brother Abducts Sister over Love Marriage

weddingUnhappy with his sister’s decision of marrying a man he objected too, a brother allegedly abducted his sister after calling the married couple to an isolated place last night.

Mukesh Nath, husband of Minal lodged a complaint that his brother in law Nitesh called himself and Minal to an isolated place and along with his friends, forcefully pulled Minal in a car and fled away. The Police have installed barricades on various routes, but the accused are still at large.

Mukesh informed the Police that Nitesh was unhappy over his cousin sister Minal’s love marriage with Mukesh. The Police have started their search over the absconding kidnappers.

Servant Runs away with 18 Tola Gold

A case of theft was registered with Bhopalpura Police station yesterday, against a house maid for allegedly stealing gold jewelry worth lakhs of rupees.

Pankaj Meena, who was working as servant at house of Arun Bakshi at Bhopalpura, is absconding since last few days soon after he had stolen 18 tola gold jewelries. The incident came to light when Pankaj suddenly stopped coming to Bakshi’s house. After few days, Bakshi doubted on his sudden disappearance and checked his belongings and found several ornaments missing.

According to police, jewelries worth Rs.5 lac has been reported stolen from the house and a manhunt is launched to catch the accused.

Fake Police Fails to Cheat Smart Woman

victim-womanDue to the alertness and courage of Kunjbala Sharma (45), two suspected men, dressed as policemen, failed to rob her. However, the conmen ran away immediately after sensing danger but Kunjbala’s act is a lesson for everyone who could be victim of such thugs.

Kunjbala Sharma, resident of Udiapol is a teacher at a private college and also an active member of Rural Congress. Today morning, when she was on her way to the college, a young man approached her and introduced himself as cop. Soon, another man came and testified the identity of first person who approached her.
