Oath Ceremony of Jain Vyapari Sangh

Newly elected working committee of Bapu Bazaar Jain Business association took oath in a ceremony organised at Terapanth Bhawan today. The election of the committee held last month in which 250 registered members of this group voted for the post of President, General Secretary, Treasurer, Senior Vice President and other positions.

The ceremony was carried out by Gulab Chand Katariya, Leader BJP; Kiran Chandra Lasod as president, Surrendra Kumar Babel as General Secretary, Arvind Lodha as Treasurer and Harak Lal Duggad as Senior Vice President with 27 others were given oath. [Read more...]

Protests in Udaipur against FDI and High Fuel Prices

Business Cell of BJP held a demonstration at Surajpol today by lighting the effigy of Sonia Gandhi, Congress Leader, against the Central Cabinet’s decision to allow FDI in retail and increased prices of Diesel and Gas.

They will be participating in the nationwide ‘Bharat Bandh’, called by BJP for the same reason, on September 20, 2012.

Chairperson of Udaipur Municipal Council, Rajini Dangi said, “Increased prices will raise already high prices of food products, making poor suffer the most.”

Pramod Samar, Pradesh Mahamantri said, “Cabinet’s decision to allow FDI will affect around 3000 small retail businessman. So, this decision should be rolled back by the central government”.

District Collector, Hemant Ghera was presented a memorandum today by the businessmen of Link Road Vyapar Mandal, Udaipur for re-facilitating the link road between Bapu Bazar and Shakti Nagar.

The road which has been blocked by Udaipur Municipal Council from past few months is requested to be re-opened by the fellow businessmen of Mandal.
