Couple arrested from Guest House

A couple has been arrested under suspicious conditions from a Guest House at Hiran Magri area today. Police raided the guest house at Sector-4 and arrested a 30-year-old man and a middle aged woman from inside the room of the guest house.

In the initial interrogation, the woman revealed that she belongs from Rail Magra, Rajsamand and was ill from a long time; she had come to Udaipur for treatment. Whereas the man was identified as Rais Mohammad resident of Gusia Colony, Kishanpol, an auto rickshaw driver by profession, informed police.

2 College Students arrested for misbehaving with Exam Supervisors

Two students of Commerce College were arrested today evening by the police under the charges of misbehaving and creating disturbance, when they were asked by the examiner not to talk during the examination.

Krishnapal Singh Chundawat and Pushkar Nagda of first semester of MHRM were arrested by the Bhopalpura police after a case was registered against them by Vijay Shrimali, Dean Commerce College for misbehaving with invigilators Raghini Pamecha and Sheetal Meena.

According to police, when both invigilators asked students not to talk during exam, they started arguing with the professors; both teachers went to Vijay Shrimali, dean CCMS and informed about the incident. [Read more...]

Azam surrendered in front of CBI, sent to Judicial Custody

One of the most dreaded and long absconding accused Mohammad Azam was sent to jail by Udaipur court today. Pratap Nagar police will now obtain production warrant to interrogate Azam, who was wanted for his alleged involvement in several cases including extortion, robbery etc.

Azam, who is also a eye witness in Soharbuddin Sheikh’s fake encounter case, has surrendered himself before Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Mumbai on 26th December. CBI later informed concerned police officials to take his custody. Udaipur police brought Azam in town today morning by airplane.

“He has been sent to judicial custody for allegedly involved in a close-to-death attack on BJP activist and builder Motilal Dangi in June this year”, said a police official. Azam is believed to be the mastermind behind the attack. [Read more...]

Azam Khan brought to Udaipur

azam-khanThe wanted accused on multiple offences, Azam Khan has been brought to Udaipur today after he was arrested in Mumbai’s Boriwali area yesterday evening. Azam was bought to Udaipur under tight police security and was directly taken to the Pratap Nagar Police station.

More information is likely to be disclosed by today evening.

According to sources, Azam Khan was taken into Udaipur Police custody after a joint effort by the Mumbai Police in association with Special Operation Group and Udaipur Police. [Read more...]

Police gets hold of absconding gun-seller

An absconding accused, who was allegedly involved in the sale of an illegal gun, was caught yesterday by Hathipol police from Banswara.

In the recent past, Police arrested Sunil alias Sonu s/o Bheru Lal Ghanchi resident of Dhanmandi from Chetak Cinema Area with an Illegal gun in his possession. During interrogation, he revealed that he purchased the gun from Kuldeep Singh s/o Ranjeet Singh Ranawat in Rs. 10,000. [Read more...]

Wanted Arms Dealer found in Mandsaur Jail

An arms dealer and a prime target of Hathipol Police was found to be in Mandsor Jail, and was then brought to Udaipur by Police on protection warrant today.

According to Police, an accused Shashikant was arrested on 10th Aug, 2012 and was found possessing a gun.  He confessed to have bought it from Anil s/o Shantilal Harijan, resident of Alawada, Mandsor.

Since then Police was searching for Anil, and recently when they got to know that he is in Mandsor Jail, locked under IPC 307. The Police brought him to Udaipur this morning on Protection warrant.

He was brought in-front of the Judge and was granted with a one day police custody remand. There are already 2-3 different cases registered against Anil in different Mandsor Police Stations.

During initial interrogation, Anil accepted to buy the gun, that he sold to Shashikant by a gangster Vishal Harijan, resident of Delhigate, Mandsor. Vishal was killed two months back in the gang-war in Mandsor.

He also confessed that, Vishal was his primary gun supplier. Police have Vishal for one day in their remand, and they seek many answers from him.

Fake Miraj Products: One more arrested from Sagwara

Police detained one more person today from Sagwara, under the ‘Selling fake Miraj product’ case, subsequent to arresting two of the accused from Udaipur yesterday.

Bharat Mali, resident of Eklavya Nagar, Sagwara, has admitted to supplying raw material to manufacture duplicate Miraj products, to Udaipur based Nitesh Jain who was earlier arrested along with his accomplice Mohanlal Jain.

Police Officer Ramlal, who is also the investigating officer in-charge of the case, informed that Nitesh and Mohanlal revealed the name of Bharat Mali as the supplier of the raw material.

In the initial interrogation, Bharat told police that he had purchased the material from a person based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

According to Surajpol police, the dealings were all done over the phone and Ramlal never met Nitesh before.

Motorcycle Thief Caught during Police Check

The alertness of the Traffic Police these days resulted in much sought after success, when they caught a Bike-Thief during their daily check today at Chetak Circle.

According to the Police, Fateh Singh s/o Satyanarayan Rajput was driving a numberless bike near Chetak Circle when Traffic Police along with policemen from Hathipol Police Station asked him to stop.  He tried to escape from the scene but showing the vigilance, Police caught him and brought him to Hathipol Police Station.

During initial interrogation he accepted the theft of 3 bikes from different parts of the city, including Hathipol Police Station area (M.B. hospital), Sukher Police Station area (Navratna Complex) and Dhanmandi Police Station area. [Read more...]

3 Arrested for House Breaking, Stolen Goods Recovered
