Eleven Sub-Inspectors Commissioned

Subsequent to undertaking a One Year training with the Rajasthan Police Academy in Jaipur, Eleven Sub-Inspectors have been commissioned and posted in the Udaipur division.

Sangeeta and Gehri Lal have been posted at Pratapnagar, Reena Mistri at Dungarpur, Dilip Singh Jhala at Rajsamand, Dilip Singh and Bharat Yogi at Chittorgarh, Deepak and Bhanwarlal at Banswara, and Rohit, Daya Ram and Ratan Singh are posted at Udaipur.

All of the above named had joined service in January 2010 and were working as sub-inspectors (non-commissioned) in various parts of Udaipur division since then.




Legal Aid Clinics Established in Udaipur

The District Legal Services Tribunal, in an effective implementation of the directives of National Legal Services Authority Legal and Regulation 2011 has established six Legal Aid Clinics in Udaipur, the district headquarter.

The Secretary of the District Legal Services Tribunal informed that the clinics have been opened at the Court Premises, Central Jail, Municipal Council, Mohan Lal Sukhadia University, Tehsil Girva premises and Udaipur District Council. He also added that each clinic is going to have one Legal Pleader and a para-Legal volunteer.

The para-legal volunteers have been assigned the job of making the people of their area aware about their constitutional rights and duties. Along with this, they will also contribute from time to time in the camps organized for imparting legal education to citizens by the District Legal Services Tribunal.

The Legal Aid Clinic will also publish pamphlets to spread legal awareness among the common people.




MPUAT: Members of BOM nominated

The state government has nominated Neelima Sukhadia, Hemant Bohra, Dr. S.R Choudhry,  S.P Nathani and Dr. Aruna Parihar as the members of Board of Management for Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture And Technology. The term of their office will be two years.

Shaheed Smarak to get New Look

Under an initiative taken by the Municipal Council Udaipur (UMC), the Shaheed Smarak at Town Hall, Udaipur will be getting a new avatar as construction work for this has already started.  The total investment earmarked for this initiative is around Rupees Eighty lac.

The Municipal Council of Udaipur, under this initiative, plans to renovate the around the Smarak, which is a twenty four thousand square feet campus.  This will also include a small museum dedicated to all the martyrs of India, and is expected to take Eight to Ten months to get in shape. 99kg Plastic Bags Seized from Shopkeepers

Subsequent to a raid conducted by the Pollution Control Board of Udaipur with the joint support of the SDM, Nagar Parishad and the Tehsildar, 99 kilos of Plastic Bags was seized today from several shops in Udaipur.

Under the Inspection program of the Pollution Control Board, 11 different shops of the city were raided and a huge amount of Plastic Bags were taken into custody by the Nagar Parishad Officials and Tehsildar. [Read more...]




Hariprasad Sharma new SP of Udaipur Police

hari-prasad-sharmaHariprasad Sharma (IPS) will be taking charge as the Superintendent of Police, Udaipur on Wednesday 2nd May 2012.

Hariprasad Sharma, a 1958 Batch officer was previously the Superintendent of Police, Nagaur City, and has taken charge from Alok Vashistha, who has now been elevated to the rank of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) – Intelligence.

Alok Vashisth was given a warm farewell by the Police Department, Udaipur on 30th April 2012 at the Seminar hall of the Collectorate, where all officers including Circle Officer and SHO of various police Stations of the city. Alok Vashisht had handed over charge to Kaluram Rawat, Additional Superintendent of Police till Hariprasad Sharma assumes chair.

According to sources, Hariprasad Sharma will take charge on 2nd May 2012 around 11 am, while the orders were passed on 21st April 2012 by the Jaipur Headquarters.

T.C Damor takes the position of I.G Udaipur

The newly appointed Inspector General (IG) of Police T.C Damor was warmly welcomed by Udaipur administration with greetings and admiration when he officially stepped into his office at the Collectorate on the morning of 12th April 2012.

T.C Damor, the former IG of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has taken the position of IG Police, Udaipur Range from former I.G, Govind Gupta who has been transferred to Bikaner as I.G.

Dr. Subodh Kumar appointed as Divisional Commissioner

Member of the Rajasthan Revenue Department and Senior Officer of the Indian Administrative Service, Dr. Subodh Kumar Agarwal has been appointed as the new Divisional Commissioner of Udaipur Division.  He will also serve as the Commissioner of Tribal Area Development Department.  Dr. Agarwal has taken the position today and has succeeded Aparna Arora as the Divisional Commissioner.
