A National Seminar on State, Religion and Social Reform was organized today by The Central Board of Bohra Community (Progressive) and Dawoodi Bohra Jamaat Udaipur.
It was addressed by Dr. Asghar Ali Engineer- General Secretary of Central Board of Dawoodi Bohra, the other notable personalities present were Syed Shahid Mahdi former vice-chancellor of Jamia Milia Islamia Univeristy, Prof. Tahir Mehmood member Indian Law Commission, Prof. I.V Trivedi – Vice Chancellor M.L.S.U, Abid Adeeb- secretary Dawoodi Bohra Youth and Dr. Zenab Banu, the program was held at Sukhadia Rang Manch, Town Hall at 10:30am till 3:30pm.
The seminar was attended by many Bohra community members and intellectuals from diverse communities.
Voice of women’s social upliftment was highly raised by Asghar Ali Engineer; he said that “the strong measures towards constructive reforms are necessary to build a healthy social environment. Talking about reform seems to be impracticable if we could not find out the limitations and problems our society is facing”.
The 14th All World Dawoodi Bohra Conference is going to start in Udaipur from 11th to 13th February 2011 at Sukhadia Rang Manch, Town Hall.
This conference is organized by joint direction of The Central Board of Dawoodi Bohra Community and Dawoodi Bohra Jamaat Udaipur.
The conference is expecting large number of attendees and delegates UK, U.S.A, Canada, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, also many prominent social figures, educationists and journalists along with the community members of Dawoodi Bohras (bohra youth) are going to attend this event.
Dawoodi Bohra progressive or Bohra Youth is a sub-sect of the core Dawoodi Bohra Community.
In a recently released press note Dr. Asghar Ali Aengineer said that “The Bohra Reform Movement has world-wide spread and apart from the reform in the community it also stands for progressive Islam, inter-religious understanding, communal harmony and secular democracy.”

The above mentioned Bohra Youth is not sub-sect of Dawoodi Bohra comunity as Dawoodi Bohras all over the world are the followers of Fatemi dawat and fatemi Duat mutlaq till date and the present dai ” Dr. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin(T.U.S)” and those who are his followers are dawoodi bohras. The above are our brothers and sisters who have lost their way and seperated from us and now not a part of our community i. e Dawoodi Bohras. They have isolated themselves from us and now they are drifting in an ocean simply have no one to guide towards the real destination. May God help them recognize the right path and rejoin the dawat.
