Some well posed photos published in a news paper of a convicted prisoner in Udaipur Jail has raised many questions on the security, management and liberty given to the convicts.
Chained with iron strings, a tall bearded prisoner, Raj Bahadur Singh, got himself photographed inside the jail and distributed the photographs outside. Few of these photographs reached a newspaper journalist who published the story today.
Singh, a hardcore prisoner was shifted to Udaipur Central Jail a year back from Ajmer Jail. According to Jail Superintendent Kailash Trivedi, the inmate is never kept chained. How and when he (Raj Bahadur Singh) managed to get the photographs clicked and sent to media is yet to be ascertained.
“We are investigating the case and S.P Udaipur is also studying the case very closely” said Kailash Trivedi in a conversation with media personnel.
A mobile phone was also found in a search operation from the same barrack that Raj Bahadur is kept in.
In shocking statement quoted in newspaper, Raj Bahadur told journalist that the jail security personnel provide them all facilities in return of hefty amount.
Jail Superintendent clearly denied all allegations by saying that he had no knowledge about such incident and the enquiry is still going.
