The Late Steve Jobs once said, “You can’t ask customers what they want and then try to give that to them. By the time you get it built, they’ll want something else”, rightly said. An innovator just creates a new tool with limited resources and help.
Plancess, the term stands for ‘Planning with Success’ is one of the best examples of innovation and success. Plancess is an entrepreneurial initiative started by 3 IIT Bombay Students Nitesh Salvi, Mirik Gogri and Vivek Gupta, currently studying in their 4th year in MEMS (Metallurgy).
In the era of technology and science, when the distance of miles is just a few clicks away, these IITians decided to take full leverage of technology and came up with newer tools using the concept of Virtual Classrooms and branded themselves as Plancess.
Plancess founded in the year 2011 provides IIT aspirants with a platform to prepare for IIT entrance with the help of technology in a very convenient way.
In a conversation with Nitesh Salvi, one of the founders of Plancess, who hails from the small town of Kherwada near Udaipur, said, “we personally have suffered majorly on the counselling part and we intend to give IIT aspirants full support from our side”.
The story of Plancess started long back when these IITians thought of some easy and affordable way to help IIT aspirants, so they initially came up with www.fourmulaebank.com which they later decided to take it to a bigger level.
In the fourth year of engineering, they started a company Plancess EduSolutions Pvt.Ltd. IIT, Mumbai runs an Entrepreneurial Cell with the name of E-Cell for young entrepreneurs of IIT Mumbai to come up with their B-Idea. Plancess team presented their business idea and raised funds from the Aarti Group of Industries.
Seeking the help of latest technology, Plancess has built several new pioneering products over other coaching institutes prevailing across India. Plancess product suite includes:
Notebook+: 180 pages A4 sized Notebook with 1200 important formulas for Physics, Chemistry and Math, facilitating easy recall at exam time. It is the first time in India, that anyone has came up with a formulae notebook. They also have Video Lectures and the IIT Mentor program which provides students with personal IIT Mentor to help them easily.
Another interesting program is Chat with IITians. Explaining the core concept, Mihik Gogri said, “There are many questions, which only IITians can answer; for this reason, students with Plancess has an option to chat directly with IITians in a single click. IITians are the best source to help IIT aspirants”.
Each of the Plancess products is designed to enrich the IIT aspirant with all the qualities that are necessary to crack IIT Enterance Exams. In a conversation with Plancess Team, they said Plancess has taken a social initiative to help IIT aspirants with the name of Shiksha Planner –”Manzil Vahi, Disha Nayi” a free counselling session for IIT aspirants across India.
Vivek Gupta, one of Plancess founder told UT that the major problem with IIT aspirant is lack of councelling, so Shiksha Planner is fostered to provide a free counselling session to students regarding IIT JEE exams and other engineering entrance exams.
“We have organised many seminars in schools, colleges and auditoriums in various cities of India such as Mumbai, Bhuvneshwar and other cities” says Vivek.
Plancess has also provided many students of various institutes with internship programmes. Now for the first time, they are going into IIT Mumbai for recruiting IITians during their final placements.
Nitesh Salvi urges that students should be clear about what they need to do and should not do what others need them to do.
An initiative of Plancess shows that education sector is taking a big turn and technology is playing an immense role in all the segments available.
