Udaan2012, the Annual Sports and Cultural Week of Sunrise Group of Institutions was inaugurated yesterday on 14th February by Harish Rajani, the Chairman of the group.
The week started with a pledge ceremony by the students where they vowed to play with the game-spirit. The Students of the institution are divided into clusters of 4 viz. Sunrise Green, Red, White and Blue for this 5 days long event.
Today, the second day of Udan2012 was dedicated to sports. Various sports and matches were organized today including Cricket, Kabaddi, Kho-kho, Volley ball and Badminton.
Boy’sRed team and Girl’s White team were the winners in the Kabaddi competition and Girl’s Green team won Kho-Kho.
Blue team bagged the title of winner in Cricket. Vishnu Darzi was declared Man of the Match while Raghvendra Singh became Man of the Series.
A number of competing events that were programmed for the first day which included Race, Relay Race, Lemon Race, Disc Throw, Javelin Throw, Cricket, Mehandi, Rangoli, Drawing, Antrakshari and Quiz.
