· Fateh Sagar might overflow by tomorrow
· Nearly 2 hours heavy rainfall lashes Udaipur
· 4 gates of Swaroop Sagar opened
· Goverdhan Sagar touches 8 feet mark

Udaipur received heavy rainfall for more than an hour early afternoon today; the rain started at around 11:30AM and it continuously showered for more than an hour.
Most of the city roads were submerged due to heavy water logging. As the surrounding rivers and canals started flowing at a higher pace, the lake’s levels rose dramatically.
Lake Fateh Sagar touched the 12 feet mark and is expected to overflow in the next 24 hours, whereas after observing the continuous water inflow from Sisarma coming into Pichola, 4 gates of Swaroop Sagar were opened by 1 foot each.
From the latest reports received from sources, Sisarma is flowing at 5.5 feet.
Towards mid afternoon, rumors of Fateh Sagar overflowing were rife across the city, but there is still 1 foot to go before the gates are opened.
According to Anil Babel, Executive Engineer, Water Irrigation department, city residents might see Lake Fateh Sagar overflow by tomorrow.
According to sources, Goverdhan Sagar may overflow till late evening. Its flaunting on 8 feet right now, with the total capacity being 9 feet.

Osum pics, thanks…….plz also try to upload videos for those how are away from beautiful home town
Nice pictures, good job UT team. Bit worried about the barricaded cemented wall which is facing Swaroop Sagar. Hope the authorities have made sure that it could handle the pressure of so many “over excited” people.
Good Work… Keep Up… You guys rock, as people were hesitant to step out from indoors due to heavy rains as it was raining cats, dogs, rhinos, hippos & UT team has taken excellent snaps across the city.
The Udaipur Times is doing a great job. I have no words to apprieciate. It is up to date, up to mark and excellent too. The quality of photos is worth appreciating . My good wishes to the team UT and the Mr Sayeed Ahmed .it is live news paper .
I am so happy to see these great raining pics at our beautiful city.
Thanks a ton to THE staff of ‘Udaipur Times” for doing such a wonderful job of sharing pics and latest happening in udaipur city and surroundings, to all udaipurians across the globe.

The Udaipur Times is doing Avesome work with no words to STOP saying Udaipur Times Rocks.
Excellent work by the whole UT Team.
Good wishes….
Your pictures are a telling truth of the chaotic traffic situation , specially on the bridges. Tho there is police but hardly in action is taken by them. Anyone can stop anywhere on these bridges (Swaroop Sagar, Panchawati, Gumaniawala) and watch the running water. Without consideration to others.
Zaheer I am 4000 km from Udaipur but through your media I am enjoying my city. Thanks a lot
