The recently renovated & Air-Conditioned Post Operative & Surgery Pediatric Wards at the MB hospital were inaugurated by Gulab Chand Kataria today.
The two wards were renovated with the help of donations and grants from Blue Bird Minerals and Jetaram Dhabai Trust.
Gulab Chand Kataria, the Chief Guest for the event in his address said, “MB Hospital being one of the largest hospital in the western region of the country with these two new air-conditioned wards will be highly equipped for modern treatment techniques.” He also added that, “The Chief Minister Free Medicine Distribution Scheme has also empowered a lot of poor and destitute families to afford medical treatments.”
The event was also attended by Roop Kumar Khurana, President, UIT and RajniDangi, Chairperson, UMC.
Khurana also informed that the UIT has given Rs 50 Lac from its budget for various facilities, upgrades and repair work in the hospital. He added that the hospital has many modern medical machines but due to the lack of maintenance the machines get damaged. The budget that UIT is providing can be used for such repair work.

The two new wards have been adopted by Dalpat Surana and R.K. Dhabai, and they will also be looking after the maintenance of Air-Conditioning of the two wards for the next 10 years.
Dr. S.K. Kaushik, Principal, MB Hospital said, “It will be a great relief to the patients if some NGOs and other patrons adopt the Cardiology and Neurosurgery wards of the Hospital too.”
On this event, two other benefactors, Magilal Lunawat and Manmohan Singhvi also adopted two other wards of the hospital. Gulabh Chand Kataria, Chief Guest of the event also garlanded the two of them in the event.
