Udaipur Mourns to the death of BSF officer Tarun Gupta

· Body of Tarun Gupta was recovered on Saturday evening

· Family members did not recognize the body

· Later confirmed today

· Last rites performed in Jammu

tarun-guptaAfter refusing to identify the body found from Seri River on Saturday evening, later, relatives of 39-year-old BSF’s Deputy Commander Tarun Gupta confirmed that the body was of Tarun, the Dy Commandant, who along with his driver and the jeep they were in, was swept into the flooded river at Rajouri district, while patrolling LoC on 27 July at 3am.

The body of Tarun Gupta was completely soaked in water and was unrecognizable.

Hundreds of BSF and Army personnel carried out a joint operation to rescue the Commandant and his driver Sepoy Uday Kumar. Uday Kumar’s body was recovered on Friday and nearly after 24 hours, the rescue team found Tarun Gupta’s body.

Tarun Gupta’s last rites were observed at Jammu Kashmir where his mother and wife with other relatives are present. Some local media reported that the body of the slain soldier will brought to Udaipur but as per the information given by Hariprasad Gupta, the funeral ceremony took place at 2 PM today at Jammu. Vidyapeeth General Council Sacks Praful Nagar

The General Council meeting of Janardhan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidhyapeeth University (Deemed) concluded today at the Seminar Hall, Faculty of Management Studies, JRNRVU, Pratapnagar under the guidance of Prof. Lokesh Bhatt, Former Vice Chancellor who was representing the Chancellor.

The meeting was led by Dr. Prakash Sharma, Registrar, JRNRVU.

In the meeting, Praful Nagar was sacked from his post of Kul Pramukh for promoting negative actions against JRNRVU and illegally posting himself as the Chancellor.  The tenure of Nagar’s post was till June, 2013. It was also decided that Bhanwarlal Gurjar who is completing his time period on the post of Sangathan Sachiv on 31st Aug,2012 won’t be nominated for the same post again, considering his illegitimate actions. Family, Friends Pray for missing BSF officer Tarun Gupta

While prayers are on high for the safe return of BSF Deputy Commander Tarun Gupta who is missing since 26th July when he along with his driver Sepoy Uday Kumar were swept in flooded river in Rajouri district. Uday Kumar’s body was found yesterday but Tarun Gupta is still untraced which is raising concern over his safety.

The search operation continues for Tarun Gupta who hails from Udaipur and disappeared while patrolling near the Sunder bank Bridge alongside the Indo-Pak border in Jammu and Kashmir. [Read more...]

Raj. to introduce Right to Hearing Bill from 1st Aug

The Right to Hearing Bill-2012 will be implemented in Rajasthan, making it the first state in India to promote beneficial schemes of the Government and to catalyze the process of complaint redressal by government officials.

“To be under implementation from 1st Aug, 2012, the Bill is directed towards providing better drinking water, electricity and schemes to the masses. The government officials would also be under pressure to redress the complaints logged by individuals, as else they will face monetary fines”, informed Dr. Subodh Agrawal, Divisional Commissioner, while he was speaking in a 1-day workshop on Right to Hearing Bill-2012 at the Seminar Hall of the R.N.T. Medical College.

He added, “The government officials should take this seriously and act as needed. Starting from Patwari and Gram-Sewak for Gram-Panchayat; Tehsildar and Block Development Officer for Tehsil; Divisonal Offisor for Divisons and others have been appointed for the same. RCA Organizes Plantation Drive

The Department of Agronomy and Plant Physiology, Rajasthan College of Agriculture, organized a Palntation Day today in the College premises.

Saplings of various types were planted and Professor O.P. Gill, Vice Chancellor, MPUAT spoke on the importance of plants in our lives addressing the audience including employees, students and officials of the University.

Students, employees and personnel including Dr. S.R. Maloo, Dean; Dr. Ganpat Singh, Department Head did plantations on this day.

The plantation event will be carried for the next 15 days, as informed by the Dean.  “There are many possibilities to grow various plants and trees as in Rajasthan we have favorable soil and environment”, said Dr. Chauhan.

Woman robbed by ‘Metal Cleaning’ Thieves

A young woman was robbed by two people who introduced themselves as representatives of a chemical company proficient in making products for cleaning metals and jewelry.

Purnima Jain, resident of Inside Hathipol, was targeted by well dressed conmen. They asked her to bring any metallic object and they would show how their special chemical works.

Influenced by the imposing body language and communication skill, Purnima started acting as told by them.

According to Purnima, “They first asked me to bring brass made objects and then silver ornaments. I gave them the objects and they showed me and my neighbor how to clean it.” [Read more...]

One Dies as Bus Rolls over at Undri Village

Hukmi Chand, an 18-year-old passenger, lost his life when the bus he was travelling in lost its balance and rolled over at Undri Village today morning at 8. The bus was going from Bagpura (madri) to Udaipur.

Out of around 45-50 passengers, 7 have been admitted in hospital with multiple injuries while many others were discharged after giving them preliminary medication.

According to sources, a privately held bus was coming towards Udaipur and lost its control at Nandeshwar River Bridge before overturning.

The deceased Hukmi Chand was from Jhadol area. Others who were seriously injured in the accident are Laxman(40), Shivlal (15), Vikram (29), Dhana(45), Lakma(40), Amra (45) and Dhol Singh (45).

MDS Celebrates Parent’s Day

mds-parents2Kids World, a branch of M.D.S Senior Secondary School has celebrated Parent’s Day today. Tiny Tots from playgroup till Higher Kindergarten took part in the celebration with their parents.

Students presented prayer songs before the program commenced with the lighting of lamps, which was done by Nidhi Maheshwari.

Chain Snatching at Hiran Magri, 5.5 Tola Gold looted

Two motorbike-borne men attacked a woman in Hiran Magri sector-3 area today and snatched her gold mangal sutra and gold chain weighing approximately 5.5 Tola.

The victim, Kala Devi Pagaria was at her brother’s house at Vrindavan Colony and was going to attend a religious function at nearby temple.

While Kala Devi was passing through Mahaveer Bhavan’s lane, two men on motorcycle approached from front and snatched her Mangal Sutra and Gold Chain. The victim was in a state of shock due to the sudden attack and could not notice the bike number or physical appearance of the bikers. [Read more...]
