Owner of Pacific College’s House targeted by Thieves

A lavish bungalow situated at Fatehpura area was targeted by suspected thieves. Precious jewelries, ornaments, accessories and Lacs of cash have been stolen from the house of Rahul Agarwal, owner of Pacific University.

Agarwal who returned yesterday from a foreign trip with his family informed police and lodged FIR against suspected thieves.

According to Rahul, he was informed about the burglary on 14th June when he asked one of his servants to open his computer kept in one of his rooms, but the servant informed him that the room is locked from inside. Following the direction of Agarwal, the room was forced opened by the servants but nothing was touched before Agarwal’s arrival. [Read more...]

Road Accident kills 19-year-old Youth, Family suspects Murder

In a road accident that occurred last night at Madri, one person died on the spot while three others received minor injuries. The accident took place at 12 AM near Liberty Phosphate factory in Madri.

The deceased, 19-year-old Anurag Nishant and his three friends Gajendra Lohar, Vikram Meghwal and Piyush Rao were travelling on two motorbikes. All friends were out for dinner and while returning back, their motorbikes reportedly slipped, killing Anurag on the spot while the other three received minor injuries. [Read more...]

Four people were injured in a sword fight that took place at a roadside eatery near Savina Kheda late yesterday evening.

The argument, which started after five people, Kamal Harijan resident of 100 feet road, Savina Kheda; Akash Harijan resident of Housing Board Colony, Sector 9; Naseer Khan resident of Indra Colony; Zaffrul and Rafeeq residents of Barkat Colony, Savina visited a restaurant, and refused to pay. Rs. 10, 000 in Cash Looted

In a report lodged at Surajpol Police Station, cash was looted off an auto rickshaw passenger by the fellow passengers today afternoon.

In the incident that occurred near the city railway station, four persons snatched Rs. 10,000 off a fellow passenger, who was identified as Bura Singh Chouhan r/o Pipdi, Rajsamand. One Dead in accident near Kaya Village

A man and a woman were found lying on the road at Mahendra Bavri, near Kaya Village. A Bike, presumed to be the one they ridinG on, was lying in a damaged condition, just near their bodies.

While the man was dead, the woman who was still alive but seriously wounded was immediately shifted to M.B. Hospital for treatment.

The identity of the two is still not known since one person is dead and the other is unconscious. [Read more...]

Radiographers are Back on Work

The 22 day long strike of Radiographers in State has been called off last night after their 5 main demands were accepted by the administration. The 30 radiologists deployed in government hospitals of Udaipur are back on work from today.

According to Om Sharma, local leader of the association, the demands regarding pay grade, several reimbursements, and permanent fund for under training students etc. are accepted by State government.

The decision came along after a meeting between Govind Sharma, chief administration secretary Jaipur, Akhil Arora, finance secretary, health department and Mahaveer Bhanawat leader of Rajasthan Radiographers Association was held on Saturday and convinced on demands.

FUTTA is Back! 5-A Side Football Tournament to start from 28th June

After the vigorous response last year, Shalom Enterprises is back again with the new season of 5-A side FUTTA Tournament in Udaipur. The tournament will be held from 28-30 June at Hotel Shikarbadi.

Unlike regular football matches, 5-A Side Football is played in a smaller ground with 5 players in each team. The rules are almost similar to regular football; however the duration of the game is less.
