To give relief from the super escalating prices of onions, Bhartiya Janta Party has initiated special shops to sell onions in just Rs.40 per kg. The first such shop was started today at a local fair of Amarkh Mahadev.
Hundreds of people rushed to buy onions from BJP’s stall. BJP alleged Congress for black marketing, and holding the stock of onions that overpriced its rates to Rs.70-72 per kg.
Asserting as a savior to the common man, BJP claimed to sell more than 1000kg of onion today from the shop at Amarkh Ji.
According to Tanveer Singh Krishnavat, a local BJP activist, more such shops will be started in the city too so that residents get some relief from the high prices.
“We have unveiled the black marketing tactics of Congress and purchased onions from their own stockists in Rs.40 per kg and sold in the same price” said Krishnavat.
