Memorandum against Rajasthan Bandh presented to District Collectorate

The Akhil Bhartiya Adivasi Mahasabha handed over a Memorandum addressed to the Prime Ministed of India, to the District Collector, Hemant Gera today.  They oppose the upcoming Rajasthan Bandh on the issue of reservation quota called by Samta Andolan Samiti, Rajasthan and Jago Party.

According to the Memorandum, the constitutional Bill proposing changes in the process of Reservation in promotion which is a constitutional process is to be presented before Parliament on 22nd Aug, 2012.   The Memorandum also say that whereas, Samta Andolan Samiti, Rajasthan and Jago Party has called Rajasthan Bandh on 22nd Aug, the protest against the Bill is on 19th August, which is also against the constitution and Dalit groups.

They also stated that a significant rage can be seen in the Dalit groups because of this activity and we ask for the security of the individuals of the clan, so that no clash could be possible between groups.

Even the implementation of IPC 144 on 22nd Aug, was asked for in the Memorandum.

    Confused between reservation , that was required, for the not so developed and the plight of unreserved category !
    This issue has to be resolved by the gov in consultation with the stake holders, without ‘vote bank politics.
