A 20-year-old student hung herself to death in the bathroom today afternoon due to an alleged mental stress. Neha who was doing her L.L.B in Jodhpur was staying at her relative’s place for the last few days. She is said to be a relative of Dr. Sunder Kumar Samar (brother of BJP leader Pramod Samar).
According to the Police, it was around 12 in the afternoon when Neha locked herself in the bathroom and hung herself from an iron rod. Approximately half an hour later, someone from the family knocked on the bathroom door, but when nobody responded they broke the door and found Neha lying unconscious on the floor.
Neha was rushed to M.B Hospital’s emergency ward where she was declared dead. Surajpol Police have started investigating the case. No letter or any strong evidence has been found yet, to decipher the reason behind the student’s death. Relatives of the victim told the police that Neha was mentally stressed.
Resident of Durga Das Nagar, Jodhpur, Neha was the daughter of Sunil Mehta who practices law at Jodhpur High Court.
The body of the victim was handed over to the family members after the postmortem.
