This time when Udaipur will rock in the International Kite Festival tomorrow, some of the locally known heroes have also planed something creative in the name of our city. The Guinness Book, Limca Book and Maharana Mewar Award winner minute gold work artist Iqbal Sakka has made 17 kites (5mm/5mm) sized and perfectly shaped with a tale spine, bow and colours.
They are as small as the tip of a ballpoint pen and thin enough to pass through the eye of needle no.12, which is used for the finest embroidery.
He has also prepared some gold kites with a fish, cow and other animals engraved .He has been invited for kite festival and his works would be exhibited in the exhibition.
The authorities have told him that he will be given a glass box to present his minute gold creations. He would also tell about his next creation with the measurement 0/0 millimeter.
Iqbal Sakka said that his next work will be great surprise for the world. Apart from his kites, his mastery is also seen in the World’s most minute stamp and Teapot.
Let us hope that the kite festival starts with a great boom and opens new doors of surprises and opportunities for our artists. May all the artists come out with flying colours.
