Indian Politics: It’s all a Power Game

Mankind is designed to be superior amongst all inhabitants on the planet. We are born with the instinct to rule, may it be a social group, friend circle, family, peers or even our pet animals. We almost try till death to serve this hunger to rule.

The present political melodrama in INDIAN politics and the issues being raised is just another example of our thirst of power.

This is not a political piece and I don’t know a nibble about politics (what they call it these days!). But, the circular loop of people of one cluster (read as Political Party) resisting, protesting and abusing another cluster is just overhyped.

The followers of their tricks are mainly the innocent ones, who fall in their honey-pit of better future, better life and better living. The political groups work more towards gathering those followers, rather than working on their so-called ‘Nourishing Agenda’ that is supposed to lay milestones of our New Shining India.

They make an awesome, never-heard-before agenda prior to every election, showcase that to common man and then rule to work everything against that agenda. On the counterpart, opposing cluster then revolts for 5-years to drip the common man with the syringe of they-are-not-good-for-you.

We than see Bandhs, National Protest, Rallies, March pasts in the span of 5 years which becomes the playground of media to suffice their TRP, and it then results in a win-win game for all.

But nobody is interested in what we lose in this drama. We lose an entire generation, who don’t want to be a part of politics; we lose those mid-aged rulers who can come forward and take crucial steps. What we get is the about-to-die or good-for-talking (or being silent, these days) entities who rule us the downhill.

India was a blank sheet when we got free in 1947, and was wealthy both in terms of money and culture. Now, one can easily foresee that what we have become and what we will be, in coming days.

They say Vote, why should we? Do we get what we need, do we get what we deserve – NO. How can you convince a common man to not watch a Cricket Match on the day of National Election Poll and to Vote.

One has to deliver, then to ask; but that is surely not what our handsome and over intelligent political parties believe in.

What we need is a start-from-scratch. We need our blank sheet back, and that is not going to happen with these childish bandhs and protest rallies. We need to stand up together to unrule everyone (every single who have tried and succeeded to eat our piece of India) and have to choose a group of potent individuals.

Writing this, in a comfort chair is not going to bring any change, I know. But bringing this fact to light is a necessary step that everyone should take on their grounds.

The day when your child would choose politics instead of engineering, medical or technical field is the day we will have that blank sheet back. That would be the day when India will start to shine.

The day when we will see even our Prime Minister standing in a queue or acting on a common man’s principle would be the day when we will be sure that our country is in safe hands. Till then enjoy the Political Melodrama on your favorite News Channel, it’s a good stress-buster, by the way!
