6 Couples get married in the 16th Samooh Nikah

The 16th Samooh Nikah (Mass Wedding) of the Dawoodi Bohra Youth community concluded at the Field Club ground on Sunday, 5th February with a grand community reception. Six couples have been tied in wedlock in this version of the Dawoodi Bohra Samooh Nikah.

The Nikah ceremony was held at Wajihpura Masjid, followed by a Baraat procession that was attended by a majority of the community; the procession passed through significant areas of the Bohrawadi area. [Read more...]

The Annual Cultural Fest of Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Swarnim-2012 ended today with crowning of Mr and Miss Swarnim. Avinash Nandawat of CCMS honored as Mr Swarnim and Tanushree Manaya of Arts College became Miss Swarnim 2012.

The Annual Cultural Fest used to be known as Gavri till last year but this year Paramveer Singh; the Student President changed the name to Swarnim in honor of the 50th Anniversary of the M.L.S University. [Read more...]
