The International Association for Human Values (IAHV) along with United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) is organizing MEDUCON conferences worldwide across 190 countries.

One of the panelists Mr. Muralidhar Koteshwar Alumni IIT Madras and CEO of Usablity Consulting India detailed that by taking global approach this series intend to strap up power of communication media with education. Grand Cycle Rally To Save The Environment

On the occasion of 2nd October Gandhi Jayanti, Shastri Jayanti, and 56th Wild Life Week (1-7 Oct 2010) Forest Department Udaipur, Palak Seva Sansthan and Rotary Club Mewar organized a grand cycle rally in Udaipur. The slogan of the rally was to promote cycling and protect the environment of Udaipur.

Program began with garlanding of Gandhi Ji’s statue at Gulab Bagh and Shastri Ji’s statue at Shastri Circle by the Mayor of Udaipur Mrs. Rajni Dangi who herself motivated Udaipurites by participating in the rally. The rally encompassing more then 600 students and 150 citizens of the city started from Gandhi statue, Gulab-Bagh and ended at Gandhi Ground, Chetak circle via Shastri Circle. Later Mr. RaghuVeer Singh Meena (MP), the Chief Guest joined the rally at Gandhi Ground and participated in the race.

World Tourism Day Celebrated in FMS Udaipur

World Tourism Day 2010 was organised on September 27th, 2010 in Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), campus, MLSU, by Master of Tourism Management in collaboration with Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan and TRC, Udaipur.

The theme of the World Tourism Day 2010 is “Bio-Diversity and Tourism”.
Various programmes and competitions were held on this occasion. Many colleges participated in this event. These were

  • IHMC, Udaipur,
  • UCCMS BTM Dept., Udaipur,
  • Pacific Institute of Hotel Management, Udaipur
  • FCI, Udaipur.

Competitions held were:

  • Painting
  • Quiz
  • Rangoli
  • Extempore
  • Presentation

The first competition was Painting which was held on the theme “Biodiversity”. Many beautiful and exotic paintings were made by the participants. Then a Quiz competition was organised, based on tourism.

Like every other year since 1980, UNWTO announced September 27, 2010 to be World Tourism Day (WTD) with a theme of “Tourism and Biodiversity”. This year China is official host of WTD, marking official celebrations along with many other events taking place worldwide. World Heart Day 2010 – “Run For Heart” Marathon at F.S.

“Your heart is the size of your fist and the strongest muscle in your body“. Your heart started beating about three weeks after you were conceived.This marvellous pump of your body is very vulnerable to damage by unhealthy style of living.Taking responsibility to prevent and control heart diseases World Heart Federation(WHF) came forward with World Heart Day.This initiated movement is celebrated worldwide by various organizations to spread cardiovascular awareness.

In Udaipur, on the occasion of World Heart Day, Vedanta Group and G.B.H. American hospital organized marathon “Run For Heart” at Fatehsagar Pal today. Starting earlier in the morning at 7 a.m. from Devali, marathon followed the path to Madar Gate, PP Singhal Marg and ended at the starting point. People joined marathon debarred of any age group, children to senior citizen everybody joined hand to hand in this massive campaign. Participating momentos were awarded to small kids who are future messengers and are responsible to make healthy society.
