The cold blooded murder of two people shook the entire locality of Hiran Magri Sector-4 today morning when the owner of Shree Sanvariya Guest House, Ramesh Ameta (65) and his servant Devilal Meena (55) were found lying in a pool of blood at different locations within the premises of the guest house.
A complete naked body with completely damaged face of Ramesh Ameta was lying on the ground floor of the guest house while the body of Devilal was found at the ground floor. Both bodies were badly wounded with several deep head injuries, and Devilal’s mouth was tied up with a cloth.
Police Superintendent, Hari Prasad Sharma (in photo above) inspected the murder spot and gave special instructions to the police team. Several deputy officers, SHOs of Hiran Magri, Pratap Nagar and Surajpol were present on the scene.
Hari Prasad Sharma (S.P) said that after considering the condition of the bodies we believe that the murders took place more than 36 hours ago. Today, a few neighbors of the area reported to the Police after they felt a foul smell coming from within the guest house.
The cause of the double murder is still not known, but a few important evidence will lead the investigations further, said S.P Hariprasad Sharma.
According to sources, Ramesh Ameta who was a retired Professor at MLSU was running the guest house from some years; he also used to stay in the guest house while his family members were living at some other place.
Ramesh has two sons Hitesh and Hemant. Sources revealed that a few days back one of his sons demanded a large sum of money from Ramesh and when Ramesh objected, he threatened his life. Responding to this, Ramesh Ameta lodged a complaint at the Hiran Magri Police station against his son.
Police have detained both Hitesh and Hemant for interrogation. “Prima Facie we are concentrating on two major points which could led to this crime, one, the argument between father and son and second a role of a woman as we found woman apparel and the condition of Ramesh Ameta’s body, which was completely naked” said a senior police officer.
“We will also check the background of Ramesh Ameta’s character and his life”, added the officer.
A few empty bottles of liquor were also found from the spot but no weapon was found.
No additional information on the murdered servant Devilal Meena has been found but it is alleged that he might have become a victim just because of some undisclosed facts he might have known.
A large crowd gathered outside the guest house, which is said to be non-operative from quite some time.

The role of police is also to be questioned as Udaipur is becoming unsafe for the citizens. Where are the Gypsy Hawks who use to respond to incidence of ‘noise pollution.’ With positive action and sent a message to the other larger criminals – not to fool around!
However there is some faith in the new SP, who is making an effort to visit the crime site and make a statement. Previously it was the Addl SP who was making all the press statements.
