Property Dealer’s death, Murder or Suicide?

victim-badiThe representatives of Mewara Suthar Community have presented a memorandum to Inspector General of Police Udaipur regarding the death of Harish Suthar (Munna), a property dealer who died due to drowning in the Lake Badi on Monday 23 April (full news).

According to Police, the death was alleged to be a suicide but the family members of deceased have doubted it as a murder and demanded thorough investigation of the case.

3 More chains recovered from Robin

After recovering two gold chains, Goverdhan Vilas police have recovered three more gold chains looted by Robin Jain from his house at Kalaji Goraji.

Since the three days remand period of chain snatcher Robin Jain taken by Bhopalpura Police was over on 25 April, the custody of the culprit was further transferred to Goverdhan Vilas Police who took him on remand today for investigating the chain snatching cases registered with Goverdhan Vilas Police.

While interrogation, Robin has admitted the custody of 3 more gold chains which he had snatched from Sector-14 and Sector -11, Hiran Magri. [Read more...]




Another Chain snatching shook the city

While the city police is still interrogating the first chain snatcher caught a few days back, one more chain snatching has distressed everyone. On this occasion, a 3 Tola Gold chain was snatched from 30-year old Deepika Kalal resident of Bhopalpura. The incident occurred at Town Hall road near Hind Electricals.

According to Surajpol Police, Deepika was accompanied with her sister and both were going towards Town Hall after shopping. When they reached near Hind Electricals, a man walking behind them, came beside the duo and snatched the Gold chain off Deepika and rushed to his associate waiting on a motorbike a few meters away.

Both the culprits fled away from the scene leaving the victims and onlookers as mute witnesses.

The modes operandi is similar to the last snatching incident that occurred on 23rd April 2012 where an aged woman from Goverdhan Vilas went through a similar stalking.




History-Sheeter Dies in Hit-and-Run Mishap

Udailal Gujjar, 35, a resident of Balicha, Goverdhan Vilas, succumbed to his injuries in hospital this morning. Gujjar was hit by an unidentified vehicle last night and had been admitted to MB Hospital where he was undergoing treatment.

According to the police, Gujjar, who was a history-sheeter living under the Goverdhan Vilas police station area, was going on his motorcycle to fill petrol when he was hit by an unidentified vehicle near the Choudhary Petrol Pump leaving him severely injured.

“He died this morning while under treatment,” said a hospital source.

The body has been handed over to the victim’s family after an autopsy.

Chain Snatching troubles the city once again

In another chain snatching incident reported today, Shashibala Kaushik, 60 years and resident of Shrinath Colony, Savina lodged a complaint at the Goverdhan Vilas Police Station.

The incident occurred when Shashibala, wife of Narendra Prasad Kaushik was returning home around 7:30 am from the Veer Bala Hanuman Mandir at Sector 14.

While she was walking, a boy ran towards her and snatched a Gold chain off her neck. The boy kept on running towards a black motorcycle, which was manned and parked across the road. Both the snatcher and his accomplice on the bike rushed away from the scene.

The victim noted that the snatcher was lightly built and wearing a white t-shirt while the man on the bike was heavily built and wearing a red t-shirt.

Goverdhan Vilas police have started the manhunt across the city.




Restaurant Owner manhandles and injures city businessman

Amit Khamesra, a well-known business man of Udaipur, was injured by a restaurant owner at a private party that was being held at The Chawlas restaurant near the Shobagpura roundabout.

In the incident, as narrated in the FIR lodged with the police and confirmed by the present guests, the problems began when the host, Jasdeep complained on the delay and the poor quality of the food being served.

Amit also complained to the owner of The Chawla’s restaurant, on the poor quality and delay in serving food to the guests who were attending the birthday party of Jasdeep Sethis daughter, a friend of Amit. [Read more...]




Dental Student victim of fake Facebook id

A case has been registered at Ambamata Police Station against an unknown person who has allegedly created a fake facebook account of a girl from Udaipur. The girl has accused an unknown person for creating a fake id on his name and adding obscene material on it.

“We have registered the case and investigating the matter, also tried to contact the concerned authority,” said Narayan Singh, the officer in charge of the case.

According to the sources, the victim who is a student of a Dental College requested S.P of Udaipur about her fake facebook id created by someone. Later on S.P’s direction the case was registered at Ambamata Police Station.




Woman commits suicide at Udai Sagar

24-year-old Ganga Devi was found hanging from an iron rod outside her house at Panveri village, near Udai Sagar today morning.

It was an alleged case of suicide, which was committed last night while her husband Devi Lal Gameti and their one year old son were asleep.

Her body has been shifted to the mortuary at the M.B hospital for postmortem.

According to the victim’s husband last night after having dinner Ganga Devi went to sleep, but when Devi Lal woke up early in the morning and didn’t find her. He went out of the house and found her hanging from the iron rod near the house.

The Police team from Pratap Nagar police station reached the spot after being informed by Devi Lal. According to the sources the deceased was living with Devi Lal as his wife under the “Naate” custom for the last 3 years.

After taking the statement of the deceased parent’s, police will start their investigations, said Satish Meena, SHO Pratap Nagar Police Station.




Couple Attacked at Kherwada, Husband killed

injured-victim-sunitaA husband and wife were attacked by a group of unidentified people on the night of 19 April at their house located at a village named Vada Laxmanpura of Pahada (Kherwada dist).

In the assault, Arjun Meena died on the spot while his wife Sunita has suffered severe injuries and has been admitted in MB Hospital Udaipur after been referred by the government hospital of Kherwada today morning.

The motive behind the attack is still unknown but Kherwada Police has started investigating the case. [Read more...]




Chain Snatching rampant, another victim at Kharol Colony

In another incident of chain snatching, Prem Lata, a resident of Kharol Colony was attacked by a chain snatcher today afternoon.

The incident occured when Prem Lata, 55, w/o Poonam Chan Tak was returning from the market near her home in Kharol Colony, when a biker came in from behind her and attempted to snatch the jewelry on her neck. Though the gold chain snapped and fell on the road, another artificial chain was pulled out.

A complain has been lodged at the Ambatamata police station.
