Congress, BJP candidates fill up the nomination for Ward no. 2

bjp-candidateCongress candidate Pramod Khabya and BJP candidate Durgesh Sharma filled up nominations for their candidature for ward no. 2 of Udaipur Municipal Council Election before Yaseen Pathan, ADM City and the Chief Electoral Officer at the Collectorate today morning.

It is now a question of the prestige for both BJP and Congress as Congress has to protect its seat left vacant after the demise of Manak Kumawat BJP wants to grab this seat desperately as it is a strong hold of congress.

It’s a wake up time for both the parties to tighten their seat belts. Congress has never lost an election from this seat since the last 15 years; first it was Karan Singh Ustad, then Kamla Meena followed by Manak Kumawat

All these candidates won this seat continuously under the banner of the Congress, so BJP is looking forward to grab the seat to break the hegemony of the Congress party .

BJP already has its board in the UMC, so the BJP is looking at this position, as a sign for the 2014 Assembly elections.

But this time, the situation is different for both the parties as a lot will depend upon the ST, SC, OBC and Minority vote bank.
