In the Inter college cricket tournament organized by UCCMS, B.N College won the final between Bhupal Nobles and Arts College at M.B ‘A’ ground, by 64 runs.
Bhupal Nobles earlier today morning won the toss and elected to bat. They scored 246 in the stipulated 50 overs thanks to a splendid knock of 83 runs by Ronit Mali and 43 runs by Junaid Sindhi.
Chasing the mammoth total, the Arts College was bolwed out at a mere score of 164 runs. Junaid Sindhi of B.N once again performed with the ball, taking 3 wickets and was awarded the Man of the Match, as well as the Man of the Tournament for his all round performance.
Kinchit Nagar of B.N was awarded the best batsman of the tournament, while Kapil Meena was declared the best bowler of the tournament.
According to K.S. Jhala, organising Secatery, there were a total of 57 teams from various colleges of Udaipur and nearby districts. A total of 56 matches were played in the tournament, which is the highest among the past tournaments.
In the presentation ceremony, Prof I.V Trivedi, Vice Chancellor, MLSU was present as Chief Guest while Shurveer Singh Boheda, Ex Ranji Player and Dr. D.S. Chundawat, Chairman, Sports Board were the other notable dignitaries at the ceremony.
