Childline of Udaipur has received a 14-year old boy who was found abandoned at Transport Nagar, Pratap Nagar. The boy is mentally challenged, hence unable to disclose his identity and further details about his parents.
Vimla Chouhan, coordinator of Childline informed that the boy was wearing Khaki color trousers and a blue-red color checked shirt.

Geetanjali Hospital has started serving the patients suffering from Hepatocellular and Post-hepatic jaundice and cancer with PTBT (Percutaneous Transhepatic Biliary Drainage).
The facility is presently available in only two hospitals of Rajasthan and only one in Udaipur region. Patients having cancer tumor and those affected with post-hepatic jaundice will get treated. Before, such patients had to travel to Ahmadabad for treatment.
Dr. Prashant Sharma, Cancer Specialist said, “it is often found that due to cancer tumor, gall bladder gets obstructed which could not be treated even by operation and adds further difficulties.” [Read more...]

Ten students of Rajasthan College of Agriculture (RCA), Udaipur are going to pursue PG Course and are awarded with a scholarship of Rs. 9000 per month. The students are selected in Junior Research Fellowship 2013 by Indian Agriculture Research Institute.

An awareness program was held at Psychiatry Department of RNT Medical College on the occasion of World Schizophrenia Day. Experts gave important information about the schizophrenia which is a kind mental disorder.
Dr. Sushil Kherada, HoD of Department of Psychiatry addressed the doctors and medical assistants about the disease and its affect on individual’s personal and social life.

The Staff of Pyrotech have reached Bhilwara and Chittorgarh to pay tribute to the 23rd May accident victims Shruti Trivedi and Priyanka Tripathi who died in the road accident at Road No.3 of Madri Industrial Area, one of the most accident- prone areas of Udaipur.
Native of Bhilwara, Priyanka Tripathi was working in the Human Resource Department of Tempsen’s Unit-2, while Shruti who was from Chittorgarh was an Engineer with Marathon Heaters. Both companies are sister concerns of Pyrotech.
After the fatal incident of Thursday evening, Pyrotech closed all its offices till Saturday to pay homage for the fatalities. [Read more...]
Gayriawas residents reached Mayor’s office today to protest against the nastiest sewerage condition at their locality. Led by the local corporator Vandana Porwal, tens of residents gathered around Mayor Rajni Dangi in her chamber.
According to the locals of the area, the area is facing drainage and sewerage problems since last 25 years and every year in monsoon the condition goes worst.
Dangi assured to visit the location and take appropriate action.
Upon visiting the area, UT reporter found that many lanes in the locality have absolutely no drainage system.
The 29th workshop of All India Co ordinate Research Project on machinery used in farms was inaugurated at MPUAT’s College of Technology and Engineering.
Inauguration ceremony was conducted by Prof. O.P Gill, Vice Chancellor of MPUAT and Dr. K.N Nag, Vice Chancellor of Bikaner College of Agriculture.

Udaipur based software development company Xavoc International has signed an agreement with UK based PHP Framework company Agile Tech Ltd. The agreement will give special rights to Xavoc to promote Agile Tech’s Agile-toolkit in India and Singapore.
