World Blood Donors Day observed at RNT Medical College

Today, on the occasion of the World Blood Donors Day, an event was organized in the auditorium of RNT Medical College. The day was organized with the joint efforts of RNT Medical College Pathology Department and RNT Blood Bank. National and State Aids Control Society that observes the day every year, also participated in the observance.

In the program today, individuals and NGOs that contributed highest number of blood donations were honored by D.P. Singh, Superintendent of MB Hospital. Cardiology Department HoD S.K. Kaushik, Dr. Chandra Mathur, Dr. Sunita Bhargava and several other Doctors attended the event. [Read more...]

Radiographers Strike Continues on 10th Day

The strike of Rajasthan Radiographers Association continued on the 10th day affecting M.B. hospital’s X-Ray division. The workers are demanding several concerns in their favor.

Today, members of the association also performed religious offering (Yagya) to express their distress.

Association is continuously demonstrating for their 5 Points demands that include increasing pay grade and other reimbursements.

Truck Hits Scooty, Kills 2 Women on the spot

Two females died on the spot after being hit by a truck. The upsetting mishap occurred today evening at Madri Industrial area’s Road No.3. The deceased were riding on scooty when a truck hit them.

The deceased Shruti Trivedi, resident of Bhopalpura and Priyanka Tripathi, resident of Madri were riding back home on Scooty after office hours, when a truck coming from the front hit the duo, killing them on the spot.

Priyanka and Shruti were from Chittorgarh and Gulabpura, Bhilwara respectively, working at Pyrotech (Tempsens).

The truck driver fled from the scene, leaving the truck behind.

The postmortem will be conducted tomorrow.

Electricity cut in the City outskirts tomorrow

Due to emergency maintenance work at 220 kV Debari Grid Substation, some areas of the City along with Sukher, Amberi, Madri, IT Park, Kaladwas, Umerda and Gudli will face electricity cut from 6:30 am till 10 am.

Associate Engineer of Ajmer Electricity Board informed that rural areas such as Salumber, Keshriyaji and Kherwada will also face the cut.

Sunrise to conduct Open RPET Mock Test on Sunday

RPET Mock Test and Science Fair 2013 will be conducted at Sunrise Faculty of Engineering on Sunday May 12, 2013.

The Mock Test paper is prepared by the experienced faculty as per the latest test pattern and according to the observance of last 10-year question papers.

It will be an open test; 350 students have already registered for it. Top three students will be awarded with Tablet, Digital Camera and Mobile Phone respectively.

31st Annual Pratishta Day Mahotsav of Sree Ayyappa Temple

ayyappa3The 31st Annual Pratishta day Mahotsav of Sree Ayyappa Temple, Udaipur began on April 21, 2013 with the hoisting of the holy ceremonial flag of the Lord at 7.00 p.m. by Temple Priest Narayanan Namboodiri amidst the gathering of enthusiastic devotees. Ganapati Homam, Usha Pooja, Srimat Bhagwat Parayan were other rituals of the day. The entire temple was decorated with flowers and lights.

On 22nd after day-long rituals like Navagam, Bhagwat Parayan & Bhagwati Seva cultural program of devotional dance & songs by children and youngsters were staged wherein about 10 children participated. Man subjected to assault at Bhopalpura

An incident of alleged physical assault and threatening was reported yesterday, 4th April at Bhopalpura Matth.

Police complaint for the same has been lodged by the victim Adil Sheikh, who accused three people Vinod, Saddam and Moinuddin for thrashing him, when he refused to give them Rs. 5000.

According to Bhopalpura police, there was an unresolved issue going on between the victim and the accused. Adil also alleged that the trio also threatened him for refusing to be the witness of an earlier case of assault booked against the accused.
