Nearly 450 books by Osho Rajneesh were put on display at an exhibition on Osho’s writings, in Udaipur, at the Exhibition Hall at the UIT Circle, Saheli Marg. The exhibition will be open to the general public from 17th – 18th December, from 10 a.m. till 8 p.m. The books, both in Hindi as well as in English are mostly on spirituality without emphasizing on any specific religion.

Bohra Unrest: 6 Arrested, released on bail

In the wee hours of the afternoon today, December 16, there was a minor clash between the members of the Dawoodi Bohra community, followed by public unrest in the later hours of the evening, outside the Surajpole Police Station.

Member of the two groups, Dawoodi Bohra Youth and Dawoodi Bohra Shia entered into an altercation, resulting in the arrest of three members from each of the groups. [Read more...]




Healthy Baby Competition on 18 Dec

Udaipur’s Central Academy School is organizing a Healthy Baby Competition on Sunday, 18th December at their school premises in Sector 3, Hiran Magri. The competition is strictly for children aged between 1-5 yrs. The competition is open for all children in the city.

Speeding car killed teenager

An alleged rash driving by college students resulted in the death of a pedestrian today at Pindwara Road near Pratapnagar. A 16-year old tribal girl, Manhori died when a speeding car overran her.

As per the sources, the car was driven by an engineering student from Udaipur, who was with three other friends on a long drive.

Manhori (16) d/o Roop Lal Bheel, resident of Dhilkli village was going to school meanwhile an alto car at high speed overran her, left her dead on the spot, while the passengers of the car including the driver fled away. [Read more...]




Free Hepatitis B Vaccination in Rajasthan

Vaccination of Hepatitis B is now given free to kids and this decision by the state government has come into action from today at all government run vaccination centers. The free vaccination program which includes immunization of polio and other fatal diseases now has Hepatitis B added to its list.

Rotary Club to Help Drug Addicts

Rotary Club of Udaipur (Heritage) has taken a noble initiative to help the drugs addicts by setting up 10 days free-of-cost rehabilitation camp at Sukh Sagar Palace.

Registrations for the camp will begin at Sukh Sagar Palace from 21st Dec followed by a thorough medical checkup of the interested applicants and only first 35 patients who are suffering from the habit of taking drugs will be treated at this camp.

A team of 10 expert doctors and physiatrists from Manaklaav Ashram of Jodhpur will atend the drug addicts. Manaklaav Ashram is working for the same cause since 1983. [Read more...]




Multi Utility Medical Van for Alakh Nayan

mobile-eye-clinicState Bank of India (SBI) donated a medical van to Alakh Nayan Mandir Eye Institute today on 15th December as the part of corporate social responsibility of the bank.

The van worth Rs. 12 lakhs is a 17 seater multi-utility air conditioner medical van with facilities like portable slit lamps, auto refractometer machine, cataract testing machine, tonometer, ophthalmoscope and retina scope,trail rest and trail frame.

B. Shreeram, the G.M of the bank said, “This van will be used by Alakh Nayan Mandir Eye Institute to conduct eye checkup in rural areas and to bring people from remote places to Udaipur for treatment.” [Read more...]
