100 Year Old Royal Musical Instruments to be displayed at City Palace

musical-instrumentsCollection of rare Rajwadi musical instruments will be on display at Zanana Mahal of City Palace as part of the ‘Symphony of Mewar, A Royal Collection of Musical Instrument’ exhibition. This exhibition is a part of the ongoing series by Maharana Mewar Charitable Trust for preserving living heritage.

The exhibition will be inaugurated by Divisional Commission Subodh Kumar Agarwal on Monday 20th May.

According to Bhupendra Singh Ahuwa, Vice Secretary-Administration, Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation, the zone-D of Zanana Mahal has been developed as a Music Gallery with the financial aid received from Ministry of Culture, Indian Government.

23 Royal musical instruments that are nearly Hundred years old will be exhibited in the gallery. Seema Rathore, President of Department of Music, Meera Girls College has provided details about all the instruments. [Read more...]

100 Seater Boat to Cruise in Lake Fatehsagar

With an initiative of Tourism Department Udaipur, 100 seater double-deck cruise boat will be shortly seen at the Fatehsagar Lake. The cruiser boat will operate on a 60 minutes slow ride across the lake; it is for the first time in Rajasthan that such a service will be launched.

According to the officials of Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC) contract of this service is given to Yash Amusement, which will be responsible for purchase of boat and lawful operations of service for both tourists and local mass of the city. [Read more...]

Self defense is the most needed technique every woman should learn in these uncertain circumstances where incidents of physical abuse, eve teasing and harassment are being reported commonly.

With an aim to infuse skills of martial arts, a 10 day free training camp for females aged 13 and above is going to start at R Kay Mall from 18th May. The event is organized by a social group ‘Fantacises4You’ handled by local youth led by Vinish Sihani.

Mumbai based Choreographers to teach dance in Summer Camp

Aishwarya Kala Samanvay and Harmony Music and Dance Club launched a month long summer camp “Sirjan” at Aishwarya College today.

The camp will provide students with a bouquet of activities to choose from. The activities include dance (Folk, Classical and Western), Yoga, Karate, Music, Musical Instrument etc.

It was one of the most wonderful times of my life spent with my friends (UT Team) yesterday on the occasion of the 3rd Anniversary of UT. We had a picnic at Badi Village, in a beautiful farm house owned by one of our patrons, Anees Miyaji, of Noble Bearings, Udaipur.

A function was organized to celebrate Mother’s Day at Maharana Pratap Senior Citizen Organization where Managing Director of Narayan Seva Sansthan, Vandana Agrawal was invited as the Chief Guest.

On the occasion, Organization’s Women Wing’s President Tara Dikshit and Secretary Sushil Kachchara honored 75 mothers present at the venue.
