Six medical students accused of thrashing petrol pump workers on the night of 25th July, surrendered before Hathipol Police station today. Police has arrested them for storming into the Apaji Petrol Pump located at Chetak Circle and physically assaulting the petrol pump employees.
Nikhil Maliani (Kota), Piyush Kapoor (Ajmer), Lokesh Meena (Sikar), Keshav Meena (Kota), Nikhil Tank (Udaipur) and Lokesh Purohit (Bhopal) are students of Rabindra Nath Tagore Medical College and staying at the hostel in RNT College’s campus.
According to police, the culprits were asked to present themselves in front of police by RNT’s present principal Dr. Suresh Goyal.

All attackers were caught in the CCTV cameras installed at the petrol pump which lead to their identification.
The Wednesday night attack sparked anger among petrol pump association and local residents of the city. As a mark of protest, the association had asked all pumps to close their services from evening 5 till 7 in morning.
The students were presented in the Court today and were sent to Judicial Custody while the locals of the city also expressed their concern and strongly condemned the action of medical students.
Taking strict action, the College and Hostel authorities have suspended all the 6 students from Hostel and asked their parents to immediately meet the college officials within 7 days.

Very good and quick action taken by udaipur police …. Well done hates off …
agree wid u…….!!!!!!!!!!!!1
sahi kiyaa medical students ne..ye sb chor he saale..girls aur baccho ko bewakuf banate he..
@Mohit Kalal: It feels really same to say that its because of you people that theses students think heros of themselves by supporting them…. If u think they have done a good job y were u not in the picha? you should have joined them really shame on you. If you have a complain against the petrol pump there is a way of complaining to the related authorities. Getting agrassive on someone is not the solution. Petrol is a very sensitive product. This type of deed could have lead to lives of 1000s and may be including you. THANK GOD they didn’t think of lighting up the station with fire WHICH THEY WERE CAPABLE OF.
@Moderators: I know the comment would be deleted by you. But i really hope it goes social and people respect each others views.
Vote for it: were the medical students right for what they did ?
u shud also show the footage of petrol pump ppl attacking medicos earlier….vo to koi dikhaega ni…..
he he he Funny , tum medical student ho ? Tumhe inta jydaa pata hai to tum he nikal laoo.footage .. ya fir unke saath jakar khadi ho jaao unke favour me … Sneha you are funny …odd ones out !!!!!!!!!!
What’s happening with medical students now a days? They think they’re the masters of rest of us? I remember recently too there was some case where they beat some patients and their relatives in the hospital….
Even you go to their seniors… the senior doctors in the city… for consultation… Why they behave so rude to the poor patients and their relatives?
This is the face of our doctors of tomorrow? Deeply disheartening. Our culture lost!
Thumbs up.
{Please do not show any sympathy for these “”"GUNDAS”"” if this is the education they are getting to serve the humans in pain, they should be immediately be barred from educating for being a doctor, this is our money wasted for these uncivilised animals. and if you do not believe my version, then please be a spectator “”One day in the hospital”"”" you will come to know how these animals behave with the unsuspecting patients, they are being educated to become a doctor on the money paid by us and just see how they loot the poor people, please do not show any sympathy to these amimals.
A mistake was commited by them but we only knw one part of the story we dnt knw wht earlier happened btween them and petrol pump employees.mistake was not such serious as people are portraying it.in cctv image nth serious type of weapon was shown it was jst a normal fight.people are reacting out of proportion, remember we are the same people who elects netas who have serious crime.but we have no guts to condemn them because we are afraid of them.people are just condemning this students because they have got the topic for time pass.please jo bhi paper mein publish hota hai woh bifurcated hota hai and reality is not writtern. so just got commment anything of which u dnt have full knowledge.judiciary is there to decide wht is right or wrong.
shame on medical student
the way media has put up this issue is really shameful. Treat students like students. They have definitely commited a mistake but they way it has been magnified and put up is really shameful.
Media is meant to present a clear unbiased picture of any issue, then why the grudge against doctors because of strikes in past and other issues making them so biased towards 1st year students.
Ms.Payal and Mr. Lalit1234,
if you feel that there is another side of the story then why are you not sharing it???? the reason is very simple because the other side of the story is olso reveling the dark side of these criminals. Yes the grudge is because of the accumulated reaction of the past issues when the doctors have pressurised the people to be on their knees for unreasonable reasons, we know what will happen if these criminals are “”Let Off”"” the suffering is but evident. why dont you just let them be punished like other criminals???? just because they belong to a cartel/union of doctors???? what will you teach them if you let them off with such serious kind of crimes. If there is another side of the story which says these students are innocent then why dont you file a complain with the police and tell us ???? just blaming Media is not enough. and do remember that these goons have a dark past in the medical college itself they have been seriously punished for their deeds by your staff people……..so why not condemn them and be punished like normal criminals. andmr. lalit because we cannot protest the “”NETAS”"” therefore we should olso not protest against any crime is a very sound piece of argument and suggestion that you have provided us with!!! and one more thing I need to ask you “”"What would have been a serious type of weapon in your point of view???? probably a gun or a crate of TNT?????
@nasha:
Where is the video where the petrol pump people have beaten up the students?
Where are the photographs of the bruised students?
At no point I am defending these students. They have committed a serious mistake and should be punished the way any other student would have been. Just because they are medical students makes them no different. Treat them like students and not like doctors. And being biased because of what is going on with resident doctors and otherwise is not justified.
They are no students madam…. Even u hav been a student 1s in ur life. Imagine des kinds of cases if would hav happned in front of ur eyes; den too u would say treat them like students.
As far as i know students should not drink alcohol.
They should not be involved in such physical activities.
they should be rather concentrating on their studies. I guess they were having their exams on 30th. Can u expect them to drink n do such a deed just 5 day before their medical exams ? have you ever taught if they have passed in previous exams how have they passed ? They are GUNDAS who dont study and dont let other study. if you are defining such people as students. Please be kind to even define GUNDAS. If it was ur child studying in collage and complains to u tht der r som of his class mate harrasing him and not letting them study you would never say that they r students and they should be treated like a student.
There is difference between offense and being folly.
mrs NASha mein aapke time pass ke liye other side of story present karna jaruri nahi samajta because matter is subjudiced and i dnt want to affect it with any opinion like you people are doing.serious type of weapon ki definition chahiye to IPC aur law books padho sab samaj mein aa jayega.duniya mein bahut se serious issues hai agar dimag lagana hai toh waha lagao ,students ki fight ko itna bada issue banane se kuch nahi hoga.footage dhyan se dekho aisi fight college mein roz hoti hai isme itna bhavuk hone ki zarurat nahi hai.let the judiciary decides wht is right or wrong.judges are there to deecide
Ha ha ha lalit kabhi kahawat suni hai “”"”Khisiyani billi khamba Noche”"”".
haan yeh kahawat tumhare upar fit baiththi hai.thanks apni tarif khud karne ke liye.
