Umang, a Jain Social Group celebrated its 2nd foundation day yesterday. On this occasion, a cultural program was organized.
The Chief Guest of the program was Jayantilal Jain, Additional Commissioner, Commerce Revenue Department; the Special Guest was O.P Chaplot, President Jain Social Group while the program was presided by Kiranmal Sawansukha, a social worker.
Jayantilal Jain said that, consumption of Flax seeds, which are also used in animal food, can help reduce stress in human beings, though heart patients should consume it only when prescribed by a doctor because Flax Seeds contain fat.
In the program, various Bhajans were sung by several people and the people who assisted during the entire year were given mementos. The group bulletin was also inaugurated on this occasion.
In the program, Dr. Sunderlal Dak, Founder President, said that the Jain Social group has tried to remove the wall that existed between various sects of the Jain religion. He said that we should relate to the principles of Lord Mahaveer.
Last year the Umang Group did a lot of Social work and this year too, they will renovate the not very useful household things and distribute it amongst the poor.
